Well that sucked,  they only showed the boy's induction speeches and that was it. No performance at all.  They even cut out parts of their speeche

The show was pretty good overall, I was just disappointed  with no performance from the boys.

Uh, they did show 'em playin'.

They played Sweet Child O' Mine and Paradise City on the broadcast.

Must admit, minus Axl missing on vocals, that sounded pretty damn good.  Steven Adler was impressive and surprisingly fantastic.  Axl would have made that monumental.

VERY TRUE
...and thats exactly why he didnt want to do it. one smal 5 minutes & monumental performance would have ruined decades of effort to give us a replacement band, as good or bad as this band is, thats not the point.

HOPE someone recorded this whole 2h30 induction in HD. cant wait to see it

It appears some people got the performance footage in their broadcast...and some didn't. Huh

Another comment:

Pretty awesome show untill the entire performance of Guns N' Roses was omitted. Also I noticed they played Velvet Revolver music when the band came up to accept their induction.

I liked the speeches I wish someone would upload the performance. I would have thought that would be the first thing on youtube? Maybe they're being taken down?

I guess that explains why I didn't see it then, now I'm off the write HBO Canada a letter.  I know they can't tell me it was due to time constraints b/c the bloody show was over with nearly 20 minutes left in the allocated time slot.

Also I just remembered that they played "Watch This" when the guys came on stage to give their speeches. I thought that was odd or perhaps HBO Canada had something to do with that too Roll Eyes

They played "Paradise City" when the guys came on stage on my show. Undecided

It appears HBO is taking down the videos from the show, but he's a rough one of SCOM someone shot off their TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DREaOmUK3-E

If you have HBO, the entire show is up on HBO GO: http://www.hbogo.com/#home/video&assetID=GOROSTGP35223?videoMode=infopagePreview/

Edit: I haven't watch it at the link, I don't know if it includes the performance or not.

Chili Peppers stole the show IMO. The GNR performance was pretty good. It basically seemed like a Slash showcase. I still find Myles annoying. And I keep hearing how great Steven was......compared to what? Someone who can't play the songs at all? Chad Smith came out later and made Steven look like he learned to play last week.

No comparisons needed.  When you're the original GNR drummer who cowrote and recorded the damn songs to begin with, you're incomparable.

Bottom line jabroni.

Well to be fair, Chad plays a different style of music/drums that allows him to be more busy.

Steven simply serves the song what is needed

Chad also is prob the greatest rock drummer a live right now also. so no shame in that.
