It will be interesting to see how it does compared to "Slash".

Notably, the "Slash" album debuted on The Billboard 200 chart at #3 (#1 on the Rock chart, #1 on the Independent chart, and #1 on the Hard Music chart). Digitally, the album also became the #1 overall digital album and hit #1 on iTunes in 13 countries. Internationally, the disc achieved Top 5 chart positions in over a dozen major territories, hitting #1 in both Japan and New Zealand.

Yep.

Worldwide sales are virtually impossible to track so that's a crapshoot.

Wonder what Slash sold worldwide?

I thought it must've done ok, it debuted at number one in a few countries when it was released, Australia included.

I have to say I'm not loving this song. Something about Myles Kennedy's voice is just very bland to me. I realize the guy can belt but it just does nothing for me.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

I like the music more the more I listen to it, great solo.
Rips live.
I like the chorus, but still not blown away by Myles lyrics.
Samples on Amazon sound better, though.
Drummings weak.

[PRESS RELEASE] ?YOU?RE A LIE? FIRST SINGLE OFF NEW ALBUM ?APOCALYPTIC LOVE? HITS #1 ON ACTIVE ROCK RADIO.

?YOU?RE A LIE?

FIRST SINGLE OFF NEW ALBUM ?APOCALYPTIC LOVE?

HITS #1 ON ACTIVE ROCK RADIOEXPLOSIVE TRACK MARKS SLASH?s FIRST-EVER #1 POSTION AT ROCK RADIO

SLASH has achieved his first-ever #1 hit at rock radio as ?You?re A Lie? vaults to the #1 spot this week at Active Rock.  The explosive song is the first track from SLASH?s second solo album APOCALYPTIC LOVE, which was released May 22 and entered the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart at #4, marking the top rock debut that week. Watch the video for ?You?re A Lie? here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SZrJLMTO-8.

This news comes as SLASH Featuring Myles Kennedy and The Conspirators?Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums) and Todd Kerns (bass)?are coming off a successful European trek and getting ready to launch a summer headlining tour July 12 in Portland, OR. Meanwhile, on July 10, the iconic Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee will be honored with his own star on the Hollywood Blvd Walk of Fame.

APOCALYPTIC LOVE also entered the Top 5 in seven countries outside the U.S.: Canada (#2), Australia (#2), New Zealand (#1), Germany (#5), France (#7), Japan (#2), Sweden (#4) and Switzerland (#3).  All the songs on APOCALYPTIC LOVE (Dik Hayd International, distributed through EMI Label Services) were written together by SLASH and Myles Kennedy.

SLASH and his band are riding a wave of critical acclaim with a four-star review in Revolver magazine  noting: ?Apocalyptic Love is at heart a collection of lean, high-octane rock-and-roll tunes built to be blasted out of open-top sports cars or, more suitably, open-air stadiums? (July 2012).  Elsewhere, the Los Angeles Times said: ?Fans of his work in GNR and Velvet Revolver will find much to embrace in the album?s 13 tracks, ranging from the sneering rock hooks of ?You?re a Lie? and the heavy metal grind of ?Halo? to the extended instrumental passages on ?Anastasia?? (May 24, 2012).
