Imagine if those morons had used a GN'R song?
Where do you draw the line?
/jarmo
yeah, sucks big time.
not sure, just to avoid any ugly press for the only(!) german show i think it would be ok to at least consider doing another Bumble jam song, he can play about everthing on guitar anyway, right? just a thought, and maybe/hopefully its not becoming an important issue backfiring to the Guns camp
Are you going?
Maybe you can inform those who don't know that the song in question has been performed live all around the world since the tour started.
I don't think I need to tell you how crazy the idea of somebody thinking Bumblefoot would support some neo nazis is...

- its probably and hopefully totally unrealistical to think that case could have some negative effect at all, then again you never know with Axl and the media. the connection Bumble/terror group wouldnt be the issue, more so that the band (under Axl) played that song not(?) knowing about the recent right wing terror trouble....leaving some negative touch. it was just a thought, and i agree that Bumble's cover shouldnt be ruined by some stupid people.
maybe i'm also hoping for some different jam, (at least) Bumble could play about anything on guitar musically, so it wouldnt be that hard to do.
- yes, i'm planing to go.
- about the 2006 show: it was exactly as i've stated before, they were scheduled for the 1st night (friday June 02, 2006) but played not before 1:45am which makes it June 03, 2006 - but still the first night of the festival.

nah, just facts, Jarmo (i could live with that though
).
i'm not on facebook, twitter etc. so i want to ask if there is a chance to contact Bumble to consider maybe NOT playing his Paul Panther theme in Germany? the original theme was recently used by nazi serial killers to promote a racist dvd when doing their serial murders (9 people) from 2000-2006.
its the biggest terror nazi issue in Germany we've had since the last world war and still is on news here often!
quote (
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pink_Panther_Theme
):
"
In 2011 the German right wing terror group National Socialist Underground used the theme and figure of Pink Panther for a propaganda DVD promoting the racially-motivated murders committed by members of the group. [2] In 2012 this was referenced by attendees of a right wing street protest in Munich, using loudspeakers to air the theme as background for their protest.
[3]"
i sent it to ron. i think it won't hurt for him to know, so he can make his own decision about this

I think this whole thing is a bit scary... Letting some extremists tell you what songs you can play.
Especially when the song in question has nothing to do with them.
They already took an ancient symbol and made it to be a symbol of hate. Now this?
Where do you draw the line? You shouldn't play that song because of the nazis? What's next?
Maybe make people of a certain religion wear a symbol on their clothing to let everybody else know their religion? Oh wait, that's been done already!
Wouldn't it be a better idea for some Germans to take the song back instead of letting this minority tell you it's theirs?

horseshit.
I am german and nodoy cares about these so called Nazi murderes. It is some crazy press / propaganda shit . Kinda like the same that is going on in the once free USA....
The BND ( german FBI ) just failed to see some bunch of stupid nazi fuckers getting together and planning these cruel crimes. Maybe they were to busy with downloading motherfuckers..?
Pink Pnther can be played for sure

More reason why I should play it, so the song doesn't become known for Neo Nazis. (The song would be played by a Jew on stage...)
But I'll definite think about maybe not playing it......
Thanks [
