Several shows are close to Germany. Basel and Strasbourg for example.

Surprised there are not more German shows considering the size of the population and number of cities. GNR are playing 6 shows in France but yeah there are places near the German border. Just looking out as I am in Europe at this time. Wonder if we will get shows in Madrid, Barcelona or Lisbon too.

It's up to the promoters.

Yes it is up to the promoters. Maybe the Eurpean tour is finished on the 22nd July...who knows. But if you look from 2006 Germany has not had that many shows. There is potential and opportunity though. 80 million population with the strongest economy in Europe and great beer. Lets wait and see. If tickets are selling well for MG maybe thats the benchmark for further shows in Germany. I hope that the above cities get something organised by the promoters. GNR are top of their game. I hope Germany has the same opportunity that France and the UK is having this summer. 34 gigs so far is pretty impressive to. Onwards and upward for the summer

nah, just facts, Jarmo (i could live with that though  Grin).

i'm not on facebook, twitter etc. so i want to ask if there is a chance to contact Bumble to consider maybe NOT playing his Paul Panther theme in Germany? the original theme was recently used by nazi serial killers to promote a racist dvd when doing their serial murders (9 people) from 2000-2006.
its the biggest terror nazi issue in Germany we've had since the last world war and still is on news here often!

quote (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pink_Panther_Theme):
"In 2011 the German right wing terror group National Socialist Underground used the theme and figure of Pink Panther for a propaganda DVD promoting the racially-motivated murders committed by members of the group. [2] In 2012 this was referenced by attendees of a right wing street protest in Munich, using loudspeakers to air the theme as background for their protest.[3]"

Did the rest of the country just stop using that song? Did they alter the cartoons in Germany now?

I don't agree with letting some fucked up minority group take over a song, a flag or anything. What right do they have to take something that's beloved by many regular people and make it theirs?

me neither!!
but it just could leave some bad taste (just imagine a possible newspaper headline: "Guns N' Roses played the Pink Panther-Theme last night, that song was used by the nazi terror crew which leaked out in 11/2011...does Axl still have racist connections like he has in the lyrics of "One in a million"?")....newspapers LOVE to do things like that here (though GN'R propably wont get big headlines here anymore) and thats why i think that he should at least be informed about before the show, so he could make his own decisions.
i dont think that song is censored or smth. similar in Germany because of this, though the connection to the racists is some common knowledge by now as it was in media big big time (and still gets "updates" as this whole thing came out in november 2011 not before).

yeah, sucks big time.
not sure, just to avoid any ugly press for the only(!) german show i think it would be ok to at least consider doing another Bumble jam song, he can play about everthing on guitar anyway, right? just a thought, and maybe/hopefully its not becoming an important issue backfiring to the Guns camp  peace

I think it's a little too hysterical to contruct a connection there. Why give the whole thing more attention than it already got? Okay, Charles Manson liked the Beatles...and some high-school-shooters liked Manson and Rammstein...see the catch?

they've played the first night of the 3days Rock Am Ring 2006-festival, the first night was friday June 02, 2006. though they've started around 1:45am you're theoretical right with them playing June 03. but basically when you're buying tickets to a show scheduled for a friday evening and they start after midnight....its still the friday date on the ticket and the friday-> saturday night. you're not goin to see them saturday-sunday night when its scheduled for a friday.
