Check out the dates of approval on this site:

The TV commercials are the same as the previous tour, but the date of approval is 01/20/2012

Great catch.

I wonder if they're gonna "pull a Van Halen" so to speak; just announce a tour, put tickets on sale and head out.

Is that really  a "Van Halen"?  Isn't that how every band does it?   hihi

Wonder if this is purposely coinciding with Axl's 50th? A nice "intimate" show at the Hammerstein in NYC would be a GREAT way to celebrate  ok

I know you're joking, but I meant how quickly everything just came about with Van Halen. With every other band out there, there always seems to be a huge build up before announcing a tour, tickets going on sale, etc.

I just bought Van Halen tickets last Saturday for a tour that was announced 4 days before it went on sale. Detroit is the second date of that tour, so I don't have to wait very long until I get to see the show. I'd love it if a GN'R Theater Tour went down the same way.

Very cool and exciting. I love seeing them live. I also hope they put something new out soon as well, so people can continue to fall in love with the band.

Oh yes, and just for the record..... I would have gone to this game, just for the fact that I knew that Tommy was going to be in the crowd.  yes
