Looks like they are bringing in another rhythm player, which I like.

Myles doesn't run around alot, but I think with any singer the vocals are better when all you have to concentrate on is singing. You can sing and play guitar at the same time, but you still are trying to do 2 things at once rather than just concentrating on singing.

Even some of the AB fans have commented on their board that Myles often times seems to perform better vocally with Slash when he just gets to focus on singing instead of double duty like in AB.

What does that mean that Slash is auditioning guitar players? if so then it will be someone brand new. They wouldn't need to audition Gilby and I doubt it would be Dave since he is linked to VR

Guitarist Frank Sidoris is reportedly leaving The Cab following their international tour to play in former Guns n? Roses guitarist Slash?s (currently unnamed) new project. Slash signed Sidoris onto his project sometime earlier this year.

Interesting to see that Little Angels will be playing on the same night - for the first time since 1994.  I remember seeing them at the Marquee in the late '80s and they were pretty good then. No idea about now though but definitely worth checking out if you're planning to go to Download anyway.

Black Sabbath have confirmed that the 10th Anniversary of Download will be their only Summer live date, due to Tony Iommi's battle with lymphoma cancer.

So as not to let the promoters and fans down, Ozzy Osbourne will now perform the majority of the previously scheduled Black Sabbath dates (both festival performances and the headlining shows) billed as Ozzy & Friends. These 'first ever' Ozzy & Friends shows will feature appearances by "special guest" musicians including Geezer Butler (who will join Ozzy for a special Black Sabbath set as a show of respect and support to their friend, Tony Iommi) and long-time former Ozzy band member Zakk Wylde. In addition, Ozzy will be accompanied by long-time collaborator and friend Slash at select shows, with other 'special guests' set to join the tour at various stops along the way.

Going to be in the neighborhood of Dessel, Belgium, this June? Then you?d be a fool to miss out on the incredible lineup that the 2012 Graspop Metal Meeting has put together. Newly announced acts such as Slash, Black Label Society and Limp Bizkit join Ozzy Osbourne & Friends, Guns N? Roses, Motorhead and Slayer on the festival?s power-packed lineup.

Graspop Metal Meeting began in 1996 after changing its model from a local family festival to a face-melting metal awesomefest. Last year?s Graspop brought in a total of 142,000 people and it looks like with this year?s solid lineup, Graspop could very well top last year?s numbers.

Being held this year from June 22 ? 24, Graspop will serve as an ?Open Air? festival with the most hardcore and devoted fans camping out throughout the three-day festival.
