Eddie Trunk ‏ @EddieTrunk

All the BS aside, I am truly happy for & congratulate @Slash @DuffMcKagan @adlerrocks @mattsorum Izzy & Dizzy on the induction.

Eddie said Myles was there and that they would play Knocking on Heavens Door and Live and Let Die, but I can't figure out why he said that...

Is Donovan, the guy who wrote MELLOW FUCKING YELLOW, not also being inducted tonight? - so again, fact, not opinion.

Stop trying to type while flushing your commode, you're spraying shit all over the message board.

It's pretty telling that the same group of people making jokes about toilets are the ones supporting the old lineup.

Or perhaps, you are just a huge Donovan fan and I struck a nerve, perhaps?

Nothing wrong with Donovan.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QHSm_ZxV18s&feature=related

I kid a lot about Donovan, I do think it's a little excessive that he's in the RRHOF, but I have actually seen him in concert (at a festival for beatles fans, in an auditorium, but it was pretty awesome).

Yeah they can.  Songs are always fair game for live performances.
But they probably won't be allowed to be shown on TV which means we'll never get proshot footage.

Shocking is how so many crawl out of the woodwork. not shocking will be after the euphoria for people living in the past it will be nice to be able to move along and leave the past behind, as there will never be anything that anyone can do or say that will have some peoples wet dreams come true.

Incorrect.  All songs are fair game for live performances.  If they couldn't play the songs, then "Knockin On Heaven's Door" couldn't be played either because it would be infringing on Bob Dylan.

They can't play songs in which Axl has co-ownership, that is why I wish they would play Its So Easy (Duff) and Dust N Bones (Izzy).

I love how this board is "anti-speculation" until people say stuff like "songs axl has co-ownership with aren't fair game"  Roll Eyes

It's also disgusting that some people get JOY from the thought of barring them to play THEIR OWN FUCKING MUSIC. Slash re-recorded Paradise City with Fergie...somehow I imagine playing the RNRHOF shouldn't be an issue...

Again, this isn't true.  SONGS ARE FAIR GAME!

Not for the broadcast. That is why the Slash live on Stoke DVD was not released in the US.

Yep, and it's all bullshit.  They may legally play any songs they wish.  The only thing they CAN'T do is bill themselves as Guns N Roses.

If you don't want them to play GN'R songs say THAT. Don't spread your misguided legal guidance.  ok

Sigh.  You're just plain wrong.  And the Stoke DVD was released in the U.S.  EDIT --- see the post by WTTJ_91 above.

I hope they play a GNR song just to silence you guys and your misinformation, because it's obvious that stating the facts isn't doing any good.

This is the double CD and the DVD with only 5 songs. The full DVD has like 22 songs and lots of GNR. I had to buy the Blu-ray from Amazon UK.

From the site "Slash offers up selections from his 2010 solo debut, as well as cuts from Slash's Snakepit, Velvet Revolver, and, of course, Guns N' Roses, including "Night Train," "Rocket Queen," "Civil War," "Patience," "Sweet Child O' Mine," and "Paradise City." ~ James Christopher Monger"

He also released a Live in Manchester CD...

And played Sweet Child O' Mine at the god damn Superbowl the biggest televised event.....
