AXL SLASH DUFF = GOAT

« Reply #2280 on: April 13, 2012, 01:14:51 PM »

Yeah, not sure how you consider the wife of an inductee indicating that they are on their way is construed as coming out of the wood work?

Without Axl and GNR they would not be going anywhere. Don't turn this around either...anybody could of filled in for Tracii in 1985.

Dude, you're taking an extreme POV on this situation.  Anybody?  Please.  Slash had a lot to do with their success. Even Axl would agree.  As a matter of fact, I'll go so far as to say Jarmo would agree!  Now Slash may have also had a lot to do with their demise, but no one is going to take you seriously when you come up with lines like that.

Agreed.  Don't be silly...  They were all a part of what made the band great.

You're entitled to your opinion and that is fine. But do not speak for others.

Is it going to be streamed live on the Internet? Even though Axl's not going to be there it would still be cool to watch.

If it happens I don't think I will ever stop laughing.  Just imagine him onstage with his drum kit from '87, rocking out to AFD playing on his little boombox onstage.  After Rocket Queen ends he stands up to switch the CD to Lies.

2. Adler - sorry, but this guy it a joke, maybe HE messed up a reunion,  because he has dealt with the current gnr very disrespectful

Izzy's statement about Hall of Fame:

http://blogs.seattleweekly.com/reverb/2012/04/izzy_stradlin_rock_hall_of_fa.php

Izzy's Statement:

I have waited up to this point to see what would become of the GNR induction into RRHOF. I would like to say THANK YOU and GRACIAS to RRHOF for the acknowledgement of our works over the years as a band. BIG THANKS to all my bandmates who helped get us to where we are today. And, of course, THANK YOU to all of the people on this planet (including, but not limited to, the entire universe and beyond, etc., etc., etc.) who have supported Guns N' Roses from day one. Adios, Amigos!

Axl is giving fans three hour shows. Starting up again in May.

Nice try.

Stevens his own worst enemy but fails to realise the fact
ive met him over the years and he's very fan friendly and does give a good energetic performance
but he's too child like (some blame the drugs n' stroke) and this does overshadow him as a person which is unfortunate
he's always been a very happy go lucky guy, but the bottom line is he cant stop splurting shit  no

Funny that Izzy thanked all GnR fans in universe and beyond, etc., but only those "who have supported Guns N' Roses from day one".  What's that like 12 people who saw them play in Seattle in 1985 and are still fans now?  Practically nobody was a fan on day one or even year one.  What about teenagers that buy AFD now and earn him his royalties, why is he not including them in his thank you?

Yes, I know what he meant.  Izzy is the man.  Cool personified.
