I don't think this would happen, I don't think 2 parties would ever play that way. If Axl is willing to sing that night why not just do it with the original guys, it's not like Axl and Slash would even have to acknowledge each other on stage. Just stay away from each other and do their part.

Such is typical from a HOF. When Michael Jordan gave his speech at the NBA HOF he said it cost him 1k for each of his family members/guests to come. Quiet pathetic.

I really do Axl shows up, even if it means if he gets up a lone and gives a speech. I completely understand that the HOF is a bullshit institution. But he deserves to say a couple words, and he's earned it. The awkward'ness can't be avoid, seeing as I'm pretty sure one of the members will make a nod to Axl. I understand not playing together, but I just feel that Axl has moved a bit from his "Slash is a cancer" phase.

Rock Hall spokesman Todd Mesek said Monday that Green Day members Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool will induct Guns N' Roses at Saturday's ceremony at Cleveland's Public Hall.

Mesek says it's not yet known if the original Guns N' Roses lineup will reunite and perform. Mesek say he believes frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and other band members plan to attend.

Not for nothing but the best case scenario would be that they bury the hatchet and just remain friends again. Only the originals know what it took for them to get to the top. They dealt with the struggles and the turmoil and created something truly special. Any other person who entered the band entered an established band. Seeing them on stage together acknowledging each others contributions in this magical band would be enough for me. A performance would be a bonus. I'm in a band. I know what it is to struggle. Those struggles and the successes is what ties me and my bandmates together.

So, other than the simulcast at the Museum, the only other place to see the event will be on HBO on May 5th?  (Didn't VH1 do coverage in the past??)

Haha I know I said I would stay away from this thread until the big day, but I keep coming back! 

The event used to be shown on Fuse I believe, not VH1.  As far as I know there is no way to see this other than HBO on May 5, at the Museum the night of the ceremony or being in the audience at the actual ceremony. 

Maybe a board member could set up a live stream for us???
