Yeah, that was a fairly brainless comment on volcano62's part.  I love the new lineup 1999-present, but I don't kid myself to think that they're in any way related to why GNR is being inducted into the HOF.   Seems some people like to look for trouble.

No one has to be a fan of past members, or even buy an album-logging onto a Hall of Fame thread to call them pathetic makes no sense-if you don't like Slash, Matt, or any other member, maybe it would be best to not "like" their Facebook page, or listen to the music they put out-it's not that hard-I liked Buckethead in Guns a lot, but his music does nothing for me-I'm not on the Buckethead thread taking jabs at his solo albums.

Well im attending the HOF so thats why im in this thread,  and im not bashing slash, im saying how stupid it was when he played with fergie and how horrible it was.   And if i wasnt a fan of the past members do you think i would be driving by myself from Chicago to go to this?

Sheet, there's so much disrespect on this forum.....We complain about MEMBERS/X-MEMBERS talking about their band/x-band public. Ever crossed the thought that we do that too, and there's much worse statements and childish comments on the members of our favorite band here, than any of the members ever puked out in the press. Remember, this is a public forum also, and though it is freedom of speech, Slash has a better right of talking about Guns, negative or positive, than we here do. Damn, I mean, I'm not the biggest fan of Slash's career post-Guns myself, but the man gets a lot of shit, and then he gotta have the right of throw a little shit back himself. AND f**k it, he got every right to promote his solo record. IMO his music ain't got the same quality as Guns, so he need to promote it a little. And why don't make use of his name and ex.membership in Guns to something good? I would love seeing Izzy do a little more of that, promoting and touring......

AND, I don't think we here really know how the whole media circus works.....so accusing anyone of being a mediawhore because of answering a couple of questions is ridiculous....

I think Fingers said it right, The same people who complained about lack of promotion for CD, complain over too much promo now....

Would love Slash to say sorry to Axl for a couple of things, shake hands, n' wish each other good luck with their upcoming tours at HoF....THAT would've been better than any "re-union"-performance.....
