From past experiences, I'm pretty sure HBO trims out some of the performances to make it fit in a set time block whether it's 2 hours, 90 minutes, etc.

Good performance so far. Myles is alright but not Axl by a long shot.

There is an extreme double standard when it comes to Axl and this entire thing. John Fogerty refused to play with the remaining CCR and he didn't get jeered like Axl. Blondie played with a new band and didn't get it like this either. It just goes on and on.... Axl is an easy person to bash but all those that do all kiss his ass when given the chance.

That said....  I think Axl should have gone. He belonged up on stage too.... perhaps a live video feed or something would have been easier. Just him on a screen saying thanks instead. That would have been a good compromise.
