They usually don't have alcohol at any events on campuses in the US, it's a ridiculous rule that they think will stop underage drinking among college students.
Nothing wrong with trying.  "They're gonna do it anyway" has never been reason enough to make something even easier to do.  Then again, my oldest starts college in 2012 so I might be a bit prudish on the subject.

That earthquake didn't do any damage to anything.  Sure was weird though.  Like nothing we've ever seen before.  Usually for us it's tornadoes is the spring.

Good to hear.

Yeah, I can imagine; I live in NYC and we experienced an earthquake this past summer that was a really wild experience.  First one in my life. 

Glad to hear things are well there, and the next rockin' going on will be G N' R  ok
