Yes that was a rumor back in the day. I'm of the opinion that that song became IRS, but god only knows. I believe it was in Rolling Stone back in the day where Axl talked about the song "oklahoma" and how it was about a court case or litigation going on in his life and all that absurdity while at the same time the Oklahoma City bombing happened... I also believe that a sound tech or someone like that thought the song would be played at the HOB show in 01, only to be proven wrong. My memory is fuzzy as that was a long time ago.
Anyways, I think it's cool that GNR are playing in places they haven't been to for awhile

I couldn't tell if he was joking or not when he said that, same with the Jackie Chan title.

Wrong. "IRS" is NOT "Oklahoma."

I hadn't even thought of that being a joke! Sure could be for all we know-- The article wasn't bad. Dwelled on the past a little but it was all right. The dude did some research for sure.
Maybe I missed it, but you'd think the date and location of the show would belong in the article.

I am trying to check out tickets. Apparently they are sold through OU and you need a password to buy or even look. Anyone know the password? This is a crazy ass system.

I usually do not like Ticketmaster but now I wish Ticketmaster was involved, but neither it nor Live Nation has the show Oklahoma show listed.
Anybody going who can give advice how to get a ticket?

Never mind, I figured it out. You have to click around a bit and ignore the request for promotional code.

It's Oklahoma.
I would assume that you can buy alcohol in the venue, just not bring any in.

I just looked, it appears the exception for the GNR show is they will be selling beer only.

Wow. When I said "it's Oklahoma" I was just kidding. But I guess the correct answer really is "it's Oklahoma." I wonder if it is a conservative state. Thank goodness for exceptions!

"Alcohol will be sold at the concert." Being a European that's kind of hard to understand why it needs a special statement. Sounds like a great night though

They usually don't have alcohol at any events on campuses in the US, it's a ridiculous rule that they think will stop underage drinking among college students.
