GUNS N' ROSES Singer Battling Bronchitis - Oct. 31, 2011

An insider from the GUNS N' ROSES management has informed BLABBERMOUTH.NET that the band's lead singer, Axl Rose, has been battling bronchitis and the so-called Montezuma's Revenge for the past couple of weeks. Despite this, he continues to play three-hour shows with the group, which is scheduled to perform at the Bi-Lo Center Arena in Greenville, South Carolina tonight (Monday, October 31).

Both?  Let's get some blood work and a chest x-ray.  Let's get one of those expensive doctor's.

I also would like to wish Axl all of the good vibes and health in the world, and wish him a speedy recovery. Axl is such a trooper, going out there night after night, and still taking responsibility for the overall performance and output of GN'R for that night.

Here's to Axl.

Axl is suffering from these ailments and is still giving a 3 hour show every night when just playing for an hour an a half would be sufficient by today's headliner standards.

My guess is you wont see anyone in the media acknowledging him going above and beyond for his fans, they only want to talk about what time he comes on stage. Roll Eyes

Heres to a speedy recovery!

I like to read Blabbermouth sometimes..although stuff like this is typical:  "Aside from Billboard and Spinner interviews and answering a number of fan questions at a GUNS N' ROSES message board, Rose has done no promotion of any kind for "Chinese Democracy"."

Not sure what you would call playing over 200 concerts, but anyway,  STAY WELL, AXL

Axl can put on a great show sick, i can recall a audio boot from the UYI tour where we puked during YCBM and apologized for the "poor performance" and played the song again.

Bronchitis is horrible; unfortunately I have had bronchitis many times in my life, especially when I was a kid and now I am susceptible to it, so I have to be careful in the cold weather and if I catch a cold.  The real danger with bronchitis is how it can easily develop into pneumonia if not treated properly and you don't get the rest your body needs.  With the grueling tour schedule I really hope Axl can get the rest he needs and can resist not partying.  Also, I don't know how much keeping that leather jacket on his body as he sweats up a storm is helping matters either.  Especially if he is going backstage afterwards with an air conditioner on or cool air circulating in the air.

He was performing in pouring rain during the very first show of the tour (RIR)  rant  no wonder he is sick now considering all the stress/traveling/physical effort that a tour comes with.

I hope he feels better very soon.  Smiley
