I'm guessing they'll show the whole interview considering it wasn't a regular studio version of the show and they'll market the whole national metal day thing they're doing on the 11th around it.

Can't wait. Wonder if we'll get any new song titles, or what steps he takes in grooming the stache.  hihi

Personally Id like to see a new album start as a clean slate with the current band members vs old CD session stuff from 10 years ago.  But who knows if that is on the horizon, maybe we'll find something out in 2 weeks.

Anyone know if this airs in the UK or if there is any way to tune in to it on the UK? If not I presume it's easy to upload online??? Any help to view this would be appreciated.

Anything would be great, but we've been talking about some of these 'supposed' tracks from the CD sessions for years. I NEED to hear The General!!

Honestly, if Sebastian hadn't been in studio, that legendary interview would've been terrible and prob lasted 10 minutes. Trunk had terrible questions, He didn't GET some of Axl's brilliant humor/wit such as when he said Piazza played for the "Pirates" Trunk said, NO the padres.... Completely oblivious to a classic zinger

yeah he is a big fan boy who gets lost in interviews sometimes and asks terrible questions.  But i have to give credit where credit is due, he flew to Florida last minute to get an interview that is almost impossible to get.  I'm sure it cost VH1 a pretty penny to do all that last minute and to have a crew on standby for however long it was, but it is the biggest musical "get" of the year.  It should do some great things for their show.
He said he asked Axl about new music, Hal of Fame, why he shows up late, playing again with Duff-let me know if there are better questions to ask

it seems like he got it covered.  I was talking about Eddie Trunk in general, not this particular interview as I have no idea what he asked GN'R the other night.   He does have good interviews from time to time when he is not asking people what their favorite Kiss song is or which era of Iron Maiden they prefer... hihi

Regardless of what anyone thinks of Eddie Trunk, he seems to be the only one who Axl grants interviews to, so he deserves an Emmy for "That Metal Show".

Trunk should feel honored to get this interview.  People who love him and hate him want to hear what he has to say.  VH1 Classic should partner up with ABC 20/20 or something like that!

sounds like the full interview will take up the hour on vh1 and not just ten minutes of interview

Eddie Trunk:

I'll have more news about the show, air info, etc once VH1 edits it. We shot other stuff all day as well. Not sure how it will be formatted

Also, to all the international fans who contacted me, I have NO control over how, where & if this airs outside USA and when. Up to VH1 100%!

Still can't believe that this happened, how cool is it to have a video sit down interview with Axl again.  Cool

And also it's nice to have an Axl and Eddie interview without The Savage Animal Baz, shouting "OH MY GOD, DUDE" all over the top of it.  rofl rofl rofl

Just joking, LOVE Sebastian..... Grin

This episode sums the show and those guys up perfectly:

They were doing top 5 songs that mentioned the "Devil"  dude was wearing a Motley Shout At The Devil Tshirt and NO BODY had it in their top 5.

HELLO!! Oblivious

I remember that episode! i was thinking the same thing!
in their defense, they each come up with a seasons worth of top 5 lists in a matter of minutes before they shoot the shows. So its not like Jim had on the Crue shirt when he was making his list. Eddie admitted that was an oversight, but everyone would have oversights if you're only given a limited amount of time.

As for the interview, I'm pretty sure they will give the bulk of, if not the full hour to Axl and GNR. I'm pretty sure Eddie tweeted awile back that the Slash episode was going to be the premiere ont the 11th, but obviously an Axl interview would trump that since it's so rare.

Major props to Eddie and the TMS crew for this score. And I appreciate and enjoy what Eddie does. He's a true rock fan and he wears it on his sleeve. He's very well respected in the rock community outside of Ozzy and the guys in Kiss.  Can't wait for this interview.  Hopefully I'll have power back by then. F'ing SnowNado in October sucks balls.
