I googled "hotels close to Toyota Center in Houston" and a few came up.

What is Axl/GNR's camera policy? I saw that the Toyota Center said "cameras w/o flash and with lenses extending no more than 4 in are allowed at some events".

Do GNR allow crap camera photography? I've got great seats and would love a shot or two of the band to remember my 1st GNR concert (along with all the merch I'll be buying!)

I'd recommend going to a Rockets game...but they're not playing like they should be. There really isn't much to see in Houston, besides maybe the Space Center or some of the Museums. There's a lot of good places to shop, like the Galleria. If you have a chance to go to Austin or San Antonio there's a hell of a lot more to see. 

I shall be there too.
