SEBASTIAN BACH ? ?Rock ?N Roll Means Complete Freedom?

September 27, 2011

Enjoying a bottle of Luigi Bosca Malbec with SEBASTIAN BACH at Hernando?s Hideaway in Toronto, the former SKID ROW singer ? was not exactly drowning his sorrows. Quite the opposite in fact, Baz was celebrating the release of his brand new solo album, Kicking & Screaming [Sept 27th].

GN? R has announced a US tour that runs throughout October and November. Considering just how much Baz has played with Axl in the past, and the fact that Axl lent his vocals to Angel Down, an opening slot on this upcoming jaunt would seem more than likely. ?Yes, I got a text last week. Nothing?s been confirmed, but I did get a text saying, we want you to play with us. I don?t know how many shows, so keep your fingers crossed.?

Oh yeah! Realistically though I can see Baz doing the northeast corridor dates in the US around Thanksgiving. If he went the whole tour, great!

I have to agree.  You can only get excited hearing 18 And Life so many times before he becomes redundant as an opener for GNR.

Baz is amazing live. Saw him in Jesus Christ Superstar and opening for GNR in 06.

Love to see him open in Orlando next month.  The guy has one hell of a voice.

I don't remember how much Angel Down material he played during the 06 tour, but I'd love to hear more of it live.

He was on WDHA here in NJ today and I caught the last couple minutes, reiterated that he was asked to play and that the plan right now was to do regional opening bands. So Buckcherry are doing the 4/5 shows announced in the south, Baz doing the shows in the northeast, etc.

Say what you want about Baz, but he sure knows how to warm up the crowd.

That's what the opening act is supposed to do.

You can always have a "relevant" band, but then you might also have a crowd sitting down and taking bathroom breaks...

I'm going to see GN'R I really don't care who the opening band is.  I happen to really like Sebastian Bach, so this is a bonus for someone like me cause its like seeing Bach for free.  But to me it doesn't matter who opens.  I would even sit through Eminem or Jay-Z to get to GNR, no matter how painful it would be.

Or you could just wander around the venue until the opening act is done if you don't wanna see the opener that bad.
