This is so cool.  Going to be an all out real rock n' roll fest.  Anyone know if Buckcherry usually plays a good bit off their first album live?

Judging by how late the shows are starting 8:30-9:30 i can't see there being more than one opening act. Especially the shows that start at 9:30.  It would be midnight before gnr went on.

What's new?

I know they will go on late 10:30-11 like last tour but midnight? I doubt it. The KC show doesn't even start until 10pm and the Dallas show is an outdoors show and i know there's a strict city ordinance about noise. Maybe some shows that start at 8 or 7:30 can have two but in most cases the shows are gonna be starting too late for two imo.

i saw buckcherry at cruefest in 2008. i liked them but wasn't a hufe fan prior to that, but they kicked ass. sounded great live and made me a bigger fan of theirs. this is a great opening act.

i also learned something that night....based on the reaction at THAT show, chicks freakin love buckcherry (and i'm assuming most of that love is directed at JT). i was in the pit, and girls were going nuts and screaming their heads off. there was no getting to the very front cause those chicks were ready to kill if you tried to get in their way.

If they are opening Houston i wonder if its safe to assume they will also open Dallas the following evening.

i wouldn't say that, from the press release it seems like there's going to be multiple opening bands throughout the tour and i the dates announced are the dates they're going to play.  i'm a big buckcherry fan (well i was, their last 2 albums have been pretty bad...) so i hope they're around for the whole tour, it just doesn't sound that way to me...

They will help sell a lot of tickets, that is a strong opening act!

i really doubt it.  i've been a BC fan since 99 and i've seen them 8 times.  they fill up small clubs but any time i see then in any other environment there's always a ton of empty space.  i saw them in the electric factory in philadelphia last year which holds about 2000 people and it was half full tops, and i saw them at musikfest in bethlehem earlier this year which is a big seated area and it was probably only a third full.  every time i've seen them in the small clubs that hold 500-1000 people it's always been 75%-100% full but anything bigger than that and it's mostly empty.  i don't see many buckcherry fans shelling out 60-80 bucks a ticket to see them.

If we don't get BC for Dallas i hope whoever we get doesn't really suck.

wow! that's surprising cause i thought they were a little more popular than that.

i think you are right about multiple openers. i just checked buckcherry's website and they have shows listed for November 14 and 20 in FL, which conflicts with the GnR shows.

Pretty sure Baz is going to open some, he was on the radio this morning and was asked where he is playing coming up and he said something about playing for his new album, and he would also be ope.... And then was cut-off by someone making a joke and they never went back to it.  Not much, but I can't imagine what else he was going to say?

You're definitely gonna hear Lit Up and maybe 1 or 2 other songs ik they like to play Lawless and Lulu from the times i saw them this year but id be prepared to hear songs off albums like 15 and the new one All night long which is also really kick ass

Buckcherry always plays Lit up, and will usually mix in a few others from their first album, usually Dead Again, Crushed, Lawless and Lulu or For The Movies.  They hardly ever play anything off of their second album, usually Ridin', sometimes Porno Star, Slammin' or Whiskey In The Morning.  Most of their set comes from 15 or their newest album, All Night Long.

This was their setlist from Rock Allegiance:

Dead
Rescue Me
All Night Long
Dead Again
Everything
Oh My Lord
It's a Party
Next 2 You
Lit Up
Sorry
Crazy Bitch

They'll probably add For The Movies or Ridin' from the first album, I figure they'll get 45 minutes to an hour to open for Guns.

That was around the same set BC played at the 2 shows i saw them in February and July so it's probablly around the same for what it will be on this tour maybe theyll alternate a couple of songs here and there
