How do you think this show will sell??  This is PA, and the people of PA haven't had a good history with GNR.  I've already read multiple reports about previous chaos.

I think it will sell well. I know other bands in the past like AC/DC, Kid Rock, and others did well if not sold out.

I think it'll do well.

GN'R hasn't played in Wilkes-Barre since 1988. Major plus.

Shows in '91 and '02 were both canceled.

That being said, a lot of people in this area haven't been willing to give Axl a fair chance.

I'll be there - in the end, that's all that matters.  Wink

And it's a Sunday night, and people know how they will come on stage late.  I'm just curious is all.  Tying to decide on Rutherford or this one.  This one is closer.

Wilkes-Barre is my hometown. I'm biased.  Grin

Never knew that.

Pocono Downs would have been a great place to see them play.

Ironically, Mohegan Sun also owns the racetrack now, and they've been holding Summer concerts there again.

Wilkes-Barre is in a MUCH better neighborhood, and it's a fairly new arena. The acoustics aren't the best, but it would probably easier to get down front if you decide to go the GA route.

My hometown also. I think it will be at least half full. I've been there for a few concerts and only saw AC/DC pack the house. The acustics are horrible. AC/DC blew my ears out for 3 days. All around any seat is fairly good. I recommend this venue. Easy to find and to leave.

Avenged Sevenfold packed it pretty good a few months ago, the good thing about this show is the floor is huge so it should be easy to get GA during the presale

It says that the "Internet Presale" starts at 10am tomorrow. Is there anything special I have to do for that, or do I simply log on Ticketmaster and snag a ticket?

Also, good to see some fellow Wilkes-Barrians  beer

Born and raised! I'm in Central PA now, but still head back to WB to visit my family on the weekends.

And to answer your question about the pre-sale: Yep, log in, type in the password, and you'll be set!

Awesome. As soon as anyone sees it, let's make sure it get posted in this topic.

Btw, this has been a kickass year for Pennsylvania concerts. Sebastian Bach in Allentown... Guns in my hometown. Beats driving to Jersey all the time.
