In that case they maybe forced on very early or probably be fined heavily. This show might have the earliest ending of the whole tour!

Ugh why Dallas

Yeah, i don't know why they picked this venue. We'll just have to see how late they are permitted to go on.

Maybe we il get an Axl rant. ? Well they want us to leave but we want to f***in play?

That would be funny. They could pull the power if he pisses them off though.

I still want to know who's gonna open the show. I can't believe there is no opener yet. Since its this close to the show we'll probably end up with some shit local band.

Since its Fall Back on Sat night, I think we should get a extra hour of GNR here in Dallas. My set list for the extra hour is..... Coma, Oh My God, Right Next Door to Hell, Hair of the Dog, Back off Bitch, The Garden, and Pretty Tied Up

I can always hope  LOL

Yeah, that's kind of a weak opener compared to the others they've had and will have.

I had to sit through Modern Day Zero in Chicago in 2006, right after they canned Eagles of Death Metal from the tour.   no

Let's hope they make up for it in 2011! Never heard of this Sword band, but I hope they're decent.

I saw VR there in '08 and Aerosmith there in '09, maybe it was '10, anyway, both shows were over before 11 pm. At the time I thought it was odd to end so early.

The GNR tix say "8:30" but I would hate to get there at 8 and then sit around until midnight.

On the other hand, I would hate it even more if I got there at 10 pm and GNR was half over!!

Any mention of an opening band?

I am guessing that they booked this outdoor arena b/c they thought that American Airline center would have a Mavs or Stars game.

And I've been to this venue at least half a dozen times and it does not hold 20,000, it is more like 15,000. AAC holds 18,000-20,000, not Gexa.

I would get there on time just to be safe being its outdoors with a neighborhood across the street. They may have to go on 9:30-10 to be allowed a full set.

Opening band was mentioned a few posts up. Some death/doom metal band named the sword.

Should still be a good crowd. If only 2000 tickets were left the other day that's still 13,000 people there.

Most likely. I can't blame people for not wanting them even for only $25 cause you can't see cause people stand on their chairs even with security trying to stop them. There are just two small monitors for people on the lawn. So for most its not worth it to be on the lawn.

I'm just wondering if any one thinks the band won't play if they
have to come on earlier due to the curfew in Dallas?  I don't
care what time they come on but this is different as this is an
outdoors venue.

Just wanted to know because the band doesn't usually come to Texas
and I want to catch at least one show on this tour and will try to make
the Houston show if I can.

Thanks!!!

I've still got 2 tickets to sell also.  They look awesome according to the seating chart.  Dang family deal came up and I can't make it down there.

Section 100 Row N Seats 1 & 2

I paid $93 each but will pretty much take anything at this point.  PM me if interested.

I've got a paypal account for payment and will split the fed ex charge with whomever wants to buy 'em.
