Wish I could get it to blow up a little bit. I'd like to see what it says in the lower left corner.

I bet the poster isn't aimed at us fans who visit fan sites.

First some are whining about how the band is not touring the US, then when they are it's about why there's no new album, then it's about why the band is touring in support of Chinese Democracy, now it's probably about the poster pointing out the obvious to those who don't read set lists on the Internet or watch Youtube clips to review shows....

We all know GN'R plays the classics. As well as Chinese Democracy stuff. And we know the shows aren't your ordinary one hour or one hour and a half matinee shows where every single thing, including the thank you speeches, have been rehearsed.

But Joe Public doesn't.

They wanna hear Sweet Child O' Mine and November Rain. Hopefully they have an open mind and will enjoy the new songs and go out to buy Chinese Democracy! Smiley

IMHO all Chinese Democracy songs are already Classic Hits...

Hope to see some NYC gigs booked and then try to arrange a trip over there!!!

Like those sad people need any fuel.

They will find something to whine about no matter what.

Casual fans want to hear the AFD and UYI songs.  You can argue about that all day, but since Chinese Democracy received very little radio play in the US many people have not heard any of those songs.  You can't fill 15,000-20.000 seat arenas with only people that hang out on GnR message boards.  A lot of folks still look at this band as Axl and "those new guys" and wonder if they will show up and play a complete set.  Hopefully some of these fears will be alleviated after the first U.S. shows and some good reviews.

We are going to get songs from every album.  Besides, who the hell gives a shit what the playlist is.  I don't care if they go on stage and just talk.  I've been waiting my whole life to see this.

The bottom left says

" NEWS FLASH"

For those wanting to see Slash, stay @ home fuckheads....

Haha, ya know I genuinely believed that for a few seconds then. It seems like the perfect thing to put on a poster, just to set the record straight... Grin

I'm so glad that this US tour is shaping up nicely, can't wait to see the shows start rolling on and progressing. And as for the "classic hits" comment, it's what alot of bands actually put on their posters. Nothing abnormal here, it's just to try to engage people who are casual fans and maybe want to find out more, it's an assurance that they will still hear the songs they know and love. ok
