damn....if Johnson didnt havea 45pt day...thanks to a late TD i woulda been in the finals  crying

Sorry about that. I figured I had no chance of winning after Eli's horrible day. Calvin Johnson saved my ass. He'd been quiet these last few weeks; thankfully he was just saving up all his points for when I needed him most.

I expect to lose this week. It'd be cool to be the first 2-time champion of the league, but it looks like that honor will go to Axl4Prez. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to stick with Eli against the Jets or try for a hail mary with someone else.

This is my 3rd straight year in the championship game, though. There's something to be said about that.

Gilee and Neemo, I'm glad u guys spoke up...I never remember whose team is whose.  Except for D...Appetite for D gives it away!  Smiley
Sorry for knock-knock-knockin' ya outta the playoffs D!   Grin

I feel proud of my team...even if I don't win this week, I am proud of an early trade I made...okay my only trade...I traded Mark Ingram for Jordy Nelson.
I stuck with drafting an injured Arian Foster...and if it were not for the timer running out on my pick due to tech difficulties, I would have had Ben tate early in the season when he was starting.

Grabbing Stafford in the 9th round was a great feeling.

It's all on the line Gilee!  The 2007 Champ vs. the 2009 Champ!  Good luck man!!!    peace

Yo Gilee, has there been another 2-time champion?
Whichever one of us takes this Championship will be a two-time champ...correct me if I'm wrong, but the winner DOES receive hookers and drugs, correct?

First of all, big congrats to Gilee to have made it to the big game with me.  Hell of a team, great competitor year in, year out.
I'm standing up here on the podium, and sure, I wanna take some credit for my team's success...but next to me are QB Matthew Stafford, and much-maligned draft pick #2 overall, Mr. Arian Foster.
Yes, Arian had a bad hammy b4 the season, but I kept the faith.
I targeted Stafford as THEE qb...and I snagged him late.  He certainly came through!
The trade of RB Mark Ingram for WR Jordy Nelson benefitted Maria Sharapova immensely!  Thank you Zed's Dead.

But most of all, I want to thank that hot, fine piece of a$$ Ms. Sharapova.  We won this title for her!  No disrespect to Natalie Portman, but she just wasn't cutting it as a team name/inspiration.
Thank you Maria!!!   beer

Gentlemen, I must say it's been a whirlwind week doing interviews everywhere after winning an unprecedented second HTGTH Fantasy Football Championship.
I barely have enough time to entertain the lovely prizes Gilee sent my way!!
 hihi

I am in my money/keeper league's Super Bowl this weekend.
All advice is welcome!  (even D's, despite the fact his bad advice crushed me a few weeks ago!  Smiley )

We start 1qb, 2rb, 2wr, 1te, 1k, and 1D (no spec. team)
with stafford, hill, and bradford, qb's obvious:  Stafford.
TE I'm rollin' with Jared Cook over Jermichael "I'm gonna rest" Finley
K, a little torn between Bailey and Gould.  Romo should be able to get the 'boys into Giants territory.  I don't have as much confidence in McCown or Hanie doing the same in Minnesota.
D, either Timothy's Jets or D's Cowboys...I'm goin' Jets.  Still a thread of playoff hope to play for in the early game...and I'd rather have my fantasy defense playing against the Dolphins, not the G-Men.
WR, Colston, Maclin, Crabtree, V-Jax.  I'm currently rollin' with Colston and Maclin...but Crabtree's tempting me against the Rams...unfortunately not as sold on him as I am Colston and Maclin.
RB is the biggest prob.  Currently I am going with Mendenhall in a big game...(the Ravens are NO lock to win in Cincy this week) and if the Steelers win, Ravens lose, they'll have the #2 seed and a bye.
Choosing the #2 rb is the prob.  I've got Arian Foster in a game that means nothing to Houston...and I've got Ben Tate.  I also have Ryan Matthews and DeAngelo Williams.
If Matthews wasn't a game-time decision and questionable with a bad calf, I'd go with him. Dammit!  Right now I've got DeAngelo Williams.

Stafford-Mendenhall-D. Williams-Colston-Maclin-Cook-Bailey-Jets...
that lineup's currently up against
Brady-S Greene-Benson-Bowe-Mi. Williams-Hernandez-Barth-Bears...
we have no add/drops or trades after Thanksgiving.

Whaddaya all think???

Well, no replies...I went with Stafford, Mendenhall-Tate-Colston-Maclin-Cook-Bailey-Jets D.

Stafford saved my ass and delivered me a clean sweep of my 2 fantasy leagues!!!  Life is good.  Smiley
