Third date in Argentina?: Rosario, Oct. 10th
«
on:

According to this
http://www.lacapital.com.ar/escenario/La-banda-Guns-and-Roses-se-presentara-por-primera-vez-en-Rosario-el-10-de-octubre-20110820-0037.html
.
"La Capital" is a very reliable source. It's the most important newspaper in Rosario and one of the most important newspaper in Argentina. Ok, they didn't write ONE name correctly
but believe me it's reliable (I can't speak for the source of the newspaper but the newspaper itself is reliable)
Apparently, the show will be in Sal?n Metropolitano . It's not a big venue, that means an "intimate" show
Take a look to the venue:
http://www.metropolitanoros.com.ar/
. About Rosario:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosario,_Santa_Fe
Let me say that if this gets confirmed and any of you decide to come, you have to come to Rosario. It's a beautiful and interesting city.

There's a lot of people who complained about the sound of the place in past shows (for those from Argentina, Andres Calamaro's show, for example) but I don't see why GN'R would have problems
.
Once again, if you have the opportunity to come to Rosario don't waste it!

Wow.
As soon as you hear something more, please let us know.
For me, it's a bit difficult to keep track of all the news and info, because I don't speak the language and I don't know what newspaper/sources are considered reliable etc.
So all the info is always appreciated!

brief resume:
what we have so far is
2011-10-02 Rock In Rio - Ciudad del Rock, Barra Da Tijuca, Rio De Janeiro
2011-10-05 Movistar Arena - Santiago, Chile
2011-10-08 Estadio ?nico Ciudad de La Plata - La Plata, Argentina
2011-10-10 Sal?n Metropolitano - Rosario, Argentina
(not listed in gnr.com yet)
2011-10-12 Orfeo Superdomo - C?rdoba, Argentina
(not listed in gnr.com yet)
2011-10-15 Jockey Club - Asunci?n, Paraguay
(not listed in gnr.com yet with the definitive date)
Yesterday, producer of the show in C?rdoba Jos? Palazzo (
http://twitter.com/#
!/josedpalazzo) said in a local radio that ''the show in Bolivia was cancelled and that GNR will play in cordoba in that date instead'' He also said ''there were negotiations to make GNR do a third show in Argentina''. As you might all see, the gap between the La Plata and Cordoba dates is clear and let everyone suppose ''something'' will happen there. Now, today, the most important newspaper of the argentine city of Rosario (located not in the Buenos Aires state, but in the ''Santa Fe'' one) confirms what Palazzo was suggesting. They not only confirm GNR is playing a third show, but they also give a precise DATE and a PRECISE venue. The date has sense, so we now have shows 8, 10 & 12 in Argentina.
Tickets for the show in C?rdoba are available now in the presale for BBVA Frances credit cards owners.

If you want to take a look at Metropolitano...
http://www.metropolitanoros.com.ar/intro.html
Attendance: 3.500 MAXIMUM. It's going to be a great show.
My feeling is that sales are going to be VERY GOOD and they will relocate the show. Don't get me wrong, to me a GN'R show with 3.500 people would be a dream come true and I live here so I wouldn't have any trouble with tickets but I think tickets will fly in one or two days maximum if there's only 3500...

3,500 is a great number for a show. Enough crowd for energy but still quite intimate

Should this gig materialize it will be a very special occasion for all involved.
As well as the fans (obviously) the likes of Bumblefoot and Dj clearly relish the intimacy of smallish venues.

It's all standing right? No seats?
So it's not like a theater. More like a hall used for concerts and exhibitions?

Exactly.
At least all the concerts I know who took place at Metropolitano, there weren't seats at all.
The entire Metropolitano venue has four spaces: Sal?n Metropolitano, Sal?n Independencia, Sal?n Contempor?neo and Sal?n Panor?mico.
Sal?n Metropolitano (capacity: 2400 people) and Sal?n Independencia (capacity: 950 people) can be put together.
Anyway, we'll have to see how they organize the place because sometimes (i don't know how they do it) they can use ALL the place. One thing is sure: the maximum capacity of ALL the place is 7.000. Whatever they organize the place, it would be a great show. I'll make a call tomorrow to Metropolitano and will ask for info
Update: I found an article about a concert with 6500 people. Let's see how they organize the place...

In English
Joaquin Sabina devastating gave a concert hall on Saturday at the Metropolitan to 6,500 people raved with the songs and the words of the bard of the Andalusian city of Ubeda. At 2115 sounded the first chord played by the strong band led by Pancho Varona, Antonio Garc?a de Diego, the two famous composer's sidings. Faced with an unconditional public, Sabina proved to be one of the greatest builders of songs speaking.
The accuracy of each word in their lyrics is threaded to the exact extent to convey the poet's feeling, and assembled with the music, it becomes a deadly weapon that shoots straight to the heart artist.
With unshakable argument that the Andalusian stopped its "penultimate train" in what was the old workshop of Argentine railways, now converted into a continent suitable for music.
The pirate friend. Dressed in jeans and a green military jacket, with the crowned head of his classic bowler hat, the artist displayed tons of charm and reconfirmed their communion with the public Rosario.
The framework of the Metropolitan was the ideal classroom. With an area intended for audiences and a fence behind which stood for "popular", the stunning themed stage, along with lighting that showed no cracks and a very good sound, rounded out the field and perfect conditions for the artist shone in all its magnitude.
Throughout his performance, the poet spoke between songs, mentioning his friends Rosario Juan Carlos Baglietto (the first which locked the relationship), and Pepe Roberto Fontanarrosa T?ljame and crushed with his unconditional love for Rosario Central.
As an old pirate who goes to sea after a hidden bay caulk his battered ship, the artist returned to touring after an illness that put him over the edge. However, neither the time nor the "marichalazo," as he calls his stroke-fractious to temper his character and his enormous talent.
The poignancy and tenderness are on the edge of the lips of the man's hoarse voice and gesture wide.
Beyond the declarations of love expressed loudly by fans recalcitrant, the poet shows that drive the stage and the emotional temperature of his audience with all known resources to do so.
When he declares his love for Rosario credible, although there is a suspicion that he has studied every word that was to deliver on stage.
A gentleman. At the same time, his songs ring true, even in its umpteenth version. It happens that the troubadours people are not going to discover but to confirm its actual existence.
Everyone wants to hear again the song that transports the complex worlds of the poet. Everyone wants to sing with him. And Sabina, who is a gentleman even if you have a reputation for iconoclastic, outcast and fierce, is also a romantic irredeemable.
Love is a living than ever and can not do without, upon the termination of his public romance with little will be left to offer.
Tough and sarcastic; unfaithful and seductive, ruthless and tender, the singer still has the talisman to attend the popular singers. He returned from the edge of existence to confirm his people everything in life worth living.

It depends. If you're doing some kind of convention, probably the capacity could be 10.000 but a concert is a way different thing.
