Guns are currently second last so need help. i've just voted for them. To be honest i think it is the most iconic moment for the VMAs.

Do you remember when they did Yesterdays live for MTV, that was totally cool too.

The "Jungle" performance was great, but I never understood why the "November Rain" performance with Elton John always gets overlooked on lists like this.  I thought that was the best performance in the history of the VMA's.

Easily my personal favorite performance of Jungle.

I remember watching it live for the first time and getting goosebumps.

Watching that brought back a lot of great memories of better times.

These polls are never true representations of people's opinions... merely a test of whose online fanbase is largest and/or most "dedicated" to rigging the results with continuous posts. I guess it's pretty clear we've been outdone by the MJ and Bon Jovi fanbases on this occasion. Wink At least if MJ wins, it is another legendary performance worthy of winning such a poll, though.

Seriously?

I remember Axl himself saying that he wasn't overly fond of that performance.

MJ lip synched there though

Bon Jovi revolutionized the industry with their performance as it started MTV Unplugged. without it we may have never gotten Nirvana's best performance/album

The performance itself wasn't all that fantastic, I'll openly admit that.  But the energy behind it was as good as it gets.  I still get chills watching the beginning and end of the performance.  The middle does drag a bit, I'll give you that.

One of my most favorite performances of "Madagascar", even though it's not in full.  They nailed that one.
