Mendenhaal
I think Foster will battle that injury all season. Looking at that MRI, he is gonna need a while to fully recover. Think of Ken Griffey JR or Jose Reyes. no way that healed in one week
Nelson for sure in PPR league, but i think Maclin will have a big day against SF.
This has to be Vick's breakout week.

Okay guys! Axl4Prez2004 is now 8-1 against the spread in the past 2 weeks. (I didn't pick Week 1)
Ignore my advice at your own peril!!!!!!!
Week 4 picks:
Falcons -4 1/2
Vikings -2 1/2
That's all I've got for Week 4...(very tough week!)
btw, thanks D. I may just bite the bullet and play Maclin...hopefully he'll tweet a pic of his injured hammy too!

Agree with D.
I haven't been following the Maclin injury situation at all, but I'd be tempted to take a chance on him. Nelson is like you say, a safe pick but it's doubtful he'd have a big game. He did have a big game against Oakland, but aside from that he catches a lot of balls, but not for many yards.
Although I'm no fan, I think you go with Mendenhall over Foster. I'm not as down on Foster as D seems to be, probably because I have him on one of my teams, but I'm also not convinced he's ready to put up big fantasy numbers just yet. Though I hope I'm wrong because I'm starting him this week. I don't have any other attractive options though, outside of Tate, so I basically have no choice.

D and Faldor,
Thanks for the advice, but true to my contrarian nature, as Axl would say, "I've got a funny feelin'..." that the Texans are going to get a lead at home...and Foster's going to be a big part of the game. I'm thinking the Texans will win this game and it will represent a sort of "changing of the guard." Don't worry Steeler fans, you'll still make the playoffs...but this game will help the Texans put a stamp of legitimacy on their eventual Division Championship...as much as it can be called "legitimate" with Peyton out.
The MRI doesn't concern me too much. Foster's been practicing full tilt this week and Kubiak has stated Foster's getting a full workload.
The Steelers swiss cheese o-line scares me more than Foster's MRI to be honest with you guys.
Mendenhall is fine physically, but if the o-line can't do its job, the rb is fucked.
Hell, Big Ben could get hurt the way the o-line is playing.
I'll be the underdog this week no matter what.
Stafford- Foster (over Mendenhall)- Matthews- V Jax- Maclin (over D. Nelson)- Finley -Cards D (over the Jets!) -Gould (over D Bailey!)

Yeah I read about Foster today getting a supposed full workload this week, so that made me a little more hopeful.

D, the only reason I wouldn't do that is matchups. Julius Peppers and company will make it rough for Cam Newton IN Chicago. I wouldn't play Newton, no way, no how!
Vick's at home in a PRIDE game. This is about as must-win as an early game can get and the fans will be electric at the Linc.
I think they'll keep the gameplan fairly safe with Vick, but you know Vick, if everyone's covered, he'll run...and there's nothing wrong with his legs.
Vick is a strong start today.

I hope you are right. He has made it stressful on me so far
i am 3-0 somehow but I've won 2 games by a combined 2.25 pts... So yeah... Don't like it that close. week 1 Janikowski's 63 yard FG won my game for me.. last week, i was up 141.4 to 141 he had Witten who luckily didn't get any more catches..... but it was tense.
Today, I am playing for first place as my opponent is 3-0 but like me, his team is pretty flawed also.
we play 1 pt PPR
I got
QB: Vick
RB Hillis
WR Fitzgerald
TE Gronkowski
W/R Brandon Marshall
W/R David Nelson
W/R Mike Williams TB
also considering Burleson or Addai for Williams but gonna give Williams one more shot
Opponent has:
QB Brady
RB Blount
WR Lloyd
TE Keller
W/R Jahvid Best
W/R Nate Washington
W/R Steve Smith Car
So gonna be interesting

Lions are still WAYYYYYYYY overrated
They beat TB who are an ok team
KC and Minnesota who are worst teams in the league and a Dallas team who just flat out took their foot off the pedal and lost focus.

God damn! I got to watch the game here at home. Arian's so much fun to watch. He looked as good as ever. I went against every freakin' fantasy projection I could find out there and rolled with him over Mendenhall.
My post on this nailed the game on 3 points:
Texans got a statement win.
the Steelers o-line blows big time
Big Ben got hurt.
...now if only my game picks would have been better. Got the Falcons and Vikes both wrong!
I am officially in the "Suck for Luck" camp now.
Hell, 0-4, I say go 1-15 and grab that #1 pick!!!!!!!!!!!

K i play in a one pt PPR and I traded Vick for Greg Jennings
Feel good to get a high level WR for him in this league.. .sucks having he and Cam both go over 30 and have to have one on the bench
so def gave my team a spark. Newton def a keeper status QB at this point.

Tough loss for the Jets today overall i thought they played very well both on offense and defense. The first quarter the offense wasn't very good but it improved vastly after that.
