If Osi was 28 and hadn't had season ending knee surgery and injury issues with his hip he could be worth alot. At this point i would think it is a very big risk for teams to sign him to the long term deal he desperatly wants, including the giants. Plus his stats from last year don't tell the whole story. yes he had 11.5 sacks and 10 forced fumbles but lets break that down a little...
In a three game stretch facing chicago, houston and detroit he records: 7.5 of his 11.5 sacks and 6 forced fumbles. Its a 3 game stretch he plays very well but where was he in the other 13 games where he got 4 sacks and 4 forced fumbles total? well they came from washington twice and carolina. So yeah his stats definetly don't tell the whole story where mostly he played inconsistant last year.
Lets not forget the guys play-off run in 07 where he recorded 0 sacks and 0 forced fumbles after getting 13 sakcs and 5 fumbles in the regular season. (where 6 sacks came against the eagles on monday night).
I guess my point is that he is good just not the great player the media has made him out to be. And because of his injury issues i do believe many teams are hesitant to even give up a second rounder because they would have to sign a 30 year-old guy with hip and knee issues long term. Nobody wants to do that.

The Giants are no longer allowing his agent to pursue a trade partner. They couldn't find anyone to accept the Giants price. The Giants may still try to trade him with a lower asking price.

New CBA officially ratified and it will include blood testing for HGH making the NFL the first pro league to test for it.

I'm just glad they are testing for it. Hopefully it will finally be a level playing field.

The Jets have released Jerricho Cotchery. Apparently he asked to either be released or traded and they've given him what he wanted. It appears they will replace him with Derrick Mason. This move will hurt i think. Cotchery was a nice receiver.

I read on twitter that Phillip Rivers may push the Chargers hard to sign Cotchery since they're good friends.
Derrick Mason is old as sin, but he's still a pretty good possession receiver. He'd be a fine replacement. And I'd love for him to go to the Jets so I can continue hating him. I used to like the guy but he spurned the Patriots in free agency years back. His wife didn't like the city of Boston or something to that effect (kind of like Mark Texeira's wife), so he ended up choosing Baltimore. Screw him!

And not choosing the Jets would change your opinion of him how?

I'd still dislike the guy, but him going to the Jets would increase that tenfold.

D, I don't understand...how did testing for steroids kill baseball?
Personally, I'm ecstatic they'll be testing for HGH in the NFL.
I'm happy the #1 overall pick in the draft isn't getting 40 to 50 million dollars guaranteed.
I'm glad Goodell still has free reign on doling out fines when players behave like jack-asses.

Love rookie salary wage. great idea
HGH makes athletes bigger, stronger, faster thus the product even more exciting.
once baseball went back to pitcher ball i lost interest.
EVERY body did steroids
when all the hitters HR totals drop....it aint a coincidence.

Tell that to Jose Bautista, among some others.

Good win for the Yanks tonight. They showed why they probably have the best bullpen in the AL.

I'm not sure of anything. In fact, I hate to be a pessimist, but I have a hard time believing he's not using SOMETHING other than his god given talent. Color me skeptical when a guy suddenly learns how to hit and becomes an elite slugger at the age of 31. Unfortunately, that's the case with baseball these days. You raise your eyebrows when you see things like that.
And I do imagine there'll be a fair amount of guilty parties in the NFL.

I believe Faldor's screen pics are on performance-enhancing drugs.
(and no, I don't want them tested. they're fine the way they are.)

They disabled my previous one, so I had to make a change. I'm glad you enjoy.
