Dizzy playing Vegas August 1st.

Dizzys gonna be playing the Crown Nightclub at the Rio Hotel in Vegas on August 1st. Day before my birthday! Happy Birthday to me!

So ever since I saw this announced on Monday, I've been posting the hell out of it on facebook. The nightclub he's playing at posted this: "Come celebrate Heath Monroe's Birthday at the Crown with Dizzy Reed & Sin City Sinners Monday August 1st. FREE tickets @ www.mondaynightrocks.com"

I'm Heath!  Then they sent me a message saying this: "Thank you for promoting the Dizzy show at the Crown! To celebrate your birthday we have a table with a bottle for you! Happy Birthday!"

DAMN DAMN DAMN!

I'll be in Vegas just over a month after. I mean, I'll have an awesome time anyways. It would've just been cool to throw in a GNR-related performance too.

I'll take pics! Last time he was in town was for the Chinese Dmeocracy Release party at the Hard Rock. He signed my copy in between songs and took pics with me after the show. One cool side story from that night is beofre the show started, i recognized this guy standing by himself in the corner.....I went up and said "Hey, aren't you DJ from Sixx A.M.? He smiled and said yeah and took a pic with me.....like two weeks later the news broke....lol

What an amazing night! Dizzy put on one hell of a show as expected. He always does. What really made it special were the people at the nightclub. There was a long line to get in, but I went to the front and said I'm on the VIP bottle service list. The guy asked me my name. I said Heath Monroe. He goes "Oh Heath!, I'll be right back" He ran off and came back with another lady that worked there. She said follow me Heath. My buddy tried to follow and they told him they only needed to talk to me. She brought me back into this office and said "We told Dizzy it was your birthday and he was thrilled. He wanted me to give you this" She handed me an awesome autographed poster. Then she said let's go in now and you can pick any table in the club you want. I picked the one closest to the stage of course, lol. Then this hottie half naked waitress came and brought my group a liter of Grey Goose and all the mixers. What an AMAZING night. I'll post pics once my buddy sends them to me. Thanks Dizzy!

Hahahaha, nothing too crazy. I don't remember exactly everything Dizzy played, but he only played a couple Gn'R "hits" Sweet Child and Live and Let Die. He played Bad Obsession and Pretty Tied Up and a few other Gn'R tunes. He also played a good 4 or 5 solo tunes.....but they were nothing like "The Air" or any of the other songs that he had on his myspace a few years back. They were just straight up hard rockin tunes, I can't wait for the album. He has an amazing voice. At one point I yelled 'Play the Air!" He looked and smiled and said "Wow, thats a real deep fan right there, thank you" He once again closed with Sympathy for the Devil.......I would love to hear a recorded version of it. He simply does an OUTSTANDING version. Thanks for the birthday wishes, couldn't have been any better! (Well, maybe if Axl walked in, lol)
