"I?m not dead yet," tweets musician after his vehicle is destroyed in pile-up

Guns N' Roses guitarist Ron 'Bumblefoot' Thal has walked away from a car crash that destroyed his vehicle.

Thal ? who first joined Axl Rose's band for live shows in 2006 and performed on their 2008 album 'Chinese Democracy'? posted messages on his Twitter account after the accident to let fans know that he'd escaped without serious injury and was still working on solo material.

The guitarist's Toyota was left "totalled" after being hit by another driver and propelled into two other vehicles on the road.

"SUV just ploughed into me at full speed," he wrote. "My car is totalled and two other cars she smashed me into. I'm well enough to tweet, which means I'm not dead yet."

He later posted another message which said: "I've spent 24 hours dealing with car rental, insurance and collision folks, banks and police ? as the injuries begin to reveal themselves," before telling concerned fans: "Oh, please ? I'm in Guns n'fucking Roses. This is all like a walk in the park!"

Thal also revealed that he was well enough to return to work and had completed work on a new track called 'Cat Fight', adding: "It's finished. I've just go to transcribe it and get all the extras ready to go."

Yesterday (June 1), Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba revealed that he and Axl Rose had once been involved in a violent bar fight with another man who they had "literally kicked the shit out of".

I'm just glad that Ron is ok, it's not nice to hear this when you love the person so much...

Ron is my favourite member in GN'R right now, and he has become so much more than just a musician. Ron seems to have taken this very well, and he is still cracking jokes, which shows how strong his character is.

Thank God for Ron Thal, an exceptional person and a fantastic guitar player.

I have yet to meet him and people that met him told me that he's a fuckin' great person, indeed. But I meant the way Ron interacts with his - and GnR - fans...

I think he knows this, but fans went crazy when he posted here and he apparently enjoyed a lot doing those chats. Another chat would be greatly appreciated by his fans, but I'm not the one who would tell him to do that. I have a feeling that Axl is a lovely person, a great human being - and we have several quotes to evidence that... -, but he doesn't like to show his feelings, doesn't like to express what he feels and what he loves. That's probably why people use his silence to blame him, to make him look bad. But if he says something, it'll be twisted and people - and the media - will use it against him in any possible way. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Yeah, I think Axl knows why we are all GN'R fans in the primarily sense...

I know you was probably joking, but I'm sure Axl actually likes the fact that alot of fans love members of the band just as much as him. It makes GN'R feel, like it should, which is a band, and not just musicians filling various roles within GN'R. 

Thank God Rons ok, and he needs to rest which is why he probably pulled out of the Pisser show....

I know exactly what you meant.

I have heard it so many times. "I wish Axl would talk more".

But talking to the fans doesn't necessarily make one nice to the fans.

So many in the business talk a lot, only because they have to. How sincere is that?

Fortunately, nobody in GN'R is like that.

I believe Axl shows and expresses exactly what he feels and loves threw his music, his Music is his gift to us.  Shhhhhhh, just listen to the power of his words, he says it all, you pick the song and I'm sure you will here Axl speak!!!
