LORD OF THE BARNYARD

« on: May 19, 2011, 02:21:29 PM »

Interview with Tommy at Vita.Mn, part of the Star Tribune. Hyping up for the First Avenue show on Friday.

http://www.vita.mn/story.php?id=122190229

Last quote seems a BIT interesting:   drool

And GNR: "We have dates in October, November, and then I'm still waiting to get the 411 on what will happen next year. I think the next thing is really going to have to be someone trying to organize a record and getting it together. I think there's a really good band there to do it. But, you know, the thought of it is more daunting than a 'Mats or a Soul Asylum record combined."

November? Okay, Tommy, share with the class. I'm just keying in on this part. His commentary on 'what will happen next year'-interesting to hear his view.

He said on the radio yesterday that GN'R has stuff in South America in October and maybe the States.

So November would make sense.

Let's hope so!

I know many of us would be happy to see an US tour too.  Smiley

Nice find.  But I can see why these guys are sometimes reluctant to give interviews.  GN'R fans don't miss much. hihi

Could just be they were told to set aside October and November for GNR. Doesn't mean anything is gonna happen besides Rio though. Hell, they rehearsed for months without anything happening in '09.

You should have seen the cover they wanted to do. It wasn't a glove, believe me.

I don't believe there's a reason...

But they didn't have set dates, had the problem with Azoff, etc. Now they have Rio already set and it'll be easier to tour I bet. They'll be out there already...

Hmm.  I wonder what that means for the alleged two other albums worth of tracks from the CD Era.  I hope Axl still plans to put those out.  Is the plan to put those out next, or to record a whole new album?

Seems like we're getting some mixed info lately. Confusing.  Huh

Absolutely.

I know it's a longshot, but a November tour in the states coinciding with an upcoming album would be a fan's wet dream.

Well Tommy was the general for putting these guys in one room and letting it all happen (back when the band was still 97-01 lineup.. so who knows what wil happen.

I say forget about gnr's releases and what not and focus on what is now..
I can't stop listening to the new Foo fighter record! it's f*cking brilliant!
