I'm really happy to see bucky start doing live dates again, as I think it's been a while since he last toured?.

In any case, when I first saw the thread title, I kind of wished there would be at least a few European dates in there. But yeah, I was dreaming, seems like Bucket is comfortable confining himself to the US, even though I'm certain he would instantly sell out the same kind of venues over here.  Cheesy

I saw him three times on this tour, both SF shows and in Anaheim.  They were all great.  It is basically Buckethead and his guitar just shredding for about 1.5 to 2 hours.  The whole mystery of him really adds to the stage show too.  Check out some youtube videos from this tour.   He has a pretty good setlist too.   Just watching his left fretting hand is crazy in itself.   Usually there is an opening act, and then Buckethead goes on around 10-10:30, but it could be earlier over there depending on cerfews and whatnot.

I've seen BH a few times over the years, it's interesting.

After you see him live it really does confirm he's always been first and foremost a solo artist.

I've seen him twice (Chicago and Urbana, IL) and have tix to see him in Cincy on the 2nd of August.  He seems at his best when touring with a drummer (Pinchface) and bassist (That1Guy), but he is mostly touring with an iPod this time around (tho Pinchface made a couple appearences here and there).  Well worth the 20+ bucks a ticket to see him especially when you consider that most artists charge at least double that.

I ordered Underground Chamber and Look Up There, the other day.   I already have 3 Foot Clearance, because it is the same as the Happy Holidays LE that was released earlier.  I would highly recommend 3 Foot Clearence...I think it is some of Buckethead's best stuff.

The earlier editions of Buckethead Pikes #1 It's Alive, and #2 Empty Spaces are really amazing too.   #1 has great instrumental songwriting, and #2 is just all out awesome guitar-shred binging.   I'm looking forward to #5, Look Up There from the samples, but I'm worried Underground Chamber will be a little too experimental.

Was hoping it would have arrived today but it didn't  Sad  Why have thou foresaken me, Bucket?  Oh well, hopefully tomorrow.   Smiley

I've just discovered that my TV has a youtube function.... and the last couple of days I've been checking out alot of Buckethead stuff. And I have to say, that alot of his gems are the less well known sort of stuff. And I just love his stage persona, totally nerdy but epic at the same time.

And I'll say this again, "Buckethead, come to Europe, you will sell out loads of venues".

Ahhhh, it's worth a try.  hihi
