ran into this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sp5LWBKnqsU

i might have been sleeping under a stone, but for my sake, is it a "real" vid, or a fan made one? It's good, sometimes sync is little off, but that might be youtube's thing?

I do wonder why this video was made.  I mean they made new vids for WTTJ and for ISE when Live Era came out.  Normally I would say that's what it looks like they did with Brownstone.  However at the beginning of the video it indicates a production date of 1991.  Strange...

GN'R were looking for an video editor in early/mid 1991 for the upcoming YCBM-video. so they gave some of their 5/1991 warm-shows footage to editor(s) for checking which one they like the best. as UYI werent out back then, they only allowed to use AFD/Lies material. and this one got the job and put it on youtube 19 years later.

i cant watch it on youtube anymore (forbidden cause of some UMG rights, beh!) but i remember the editor himself did upload it in 2010 and telling that story above in the youtube description and on comments. maybe thats still the case? if so.....you're getting the story directly from the editor.

we've had this discussion before:

and yes, it seems real, check out http://www.myspace.com/markracco

"Mark Racco" video director says there:

"So here's a taste of the films/videos I've directed in the past, in semi-cronological order:
.....
Guns 'N Roses "Mister Brownstone"(underground and unreleased)
"You Could be Mine" from the movie T2
"Making fucking videos part 1: "Don't Cry"
"Don't Cry (Alt lyric version)
-------------------------------
it seems the uploader "DopeStoriesLAX" is Mark Racco himself, his latest comment:

"I actually shot the color sequences in 16mm film and the b&w in super 8mm film. This was the promo vid i dd that got me the Terminator 2 video... found it recently in a storage bin, it had been lost for nearly 20 years. it's the real deal all right"
