I just watched a vid of Patience. It was great. What's with all the hate. Axl admitted he had no patience. Did you see all that motherf****ing water? Ofcourse the band was tired, playing in all that rain. The audience must have loved the show because I sure wouldn't stand in pouring rain if i didn't like something. It must have been a huge letdown for the band to put on such a highly anticipated show in such bad conditions, kind of like having it rain on your wedding day, BUT THEY TOTALLY PULLED IT OFF!


Don't listen to the haters AXL! Oh and if  Axl were drunk he would have totally fallen on his ass, which HE DID NOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG-just watched the Estranged video and it made my eyes water!!!!  It was so beautiful!!!  And the rain made it 10 times more dramatic!  SO F'ING AWESOME!!!  Where's the setlist located?

Just got back to the hotel from Rock in Rio.....

Really enjoyed the show tonight, havent had a chance to look around and see what people have been saying but let me just say it was really really really wet. I blame System....it started during their set. The wait was long but necessary for it to be a safe show. The crew did some good work there.

Axl was in great spirits for the majority of the show. At the start he was pulling funny faces during Sorry and othertimes bantering with Tommy and Ron as well as thanking them for the Estranged rehersals! Was really loving the mood on stage despite the rain and cold....TIL was awesome as usual, obv Estranged (Ron and DJ nailed this), nice new solo from DJ....Better was another highlight. Yes Axl missed some lines in Nov Rain and then talked about needing his own patience tonight....I think he just really wanted to do it 100% tonight, but hey its the first show of the tour.

A very memorable night musically and personally - proposed to my girlfriend during the middle of the set (she said yes!)....so thank you to all the band and crew for making it on tonight when it could do easily have been a wash out. You made my day(s)!

ps just re-read this and it is just rambles. Sorry, still shaking with cold and emotional shock plus massive sleep deprivation as went yesterday at 10am to pick up tickets....will write a proper review when I recover....

Congrats Greg!!! wow, what a night!!! If someone proposed to me at a Gn'r show-it would be the best night of my life!  Most excellent timing!!!!

Can't believe how many haters are on other boards. Yes there were some mistakes by all. It was the first show, give them a break. Over all the show was pretty damn good. Can't believe with all that rain on that stage that they didn't have anything major go wrong. Loved watching Axl splash all over!! And you have to love the bit with Beta.

only issue I had with estranged was that Frank needs to play the signature fills just like the record. the fills are just as important, like the guitar solos are. He does the same shit for November Rain and it pisses me off.

Haters are always going to hate, people just want to find a gripe with everything. People know my views on current GN'R, but I don't let that distract my opinions on GN'R in 2011. And I have to say that after watching back clip after clip, I want to say that this show rocked. And we got Estranged, as well as the band being tight as fuck, and Axl being in a brilliant mood for most parts of the show.

The rain did spoil it near the end, but that's a factor that the band couldn't control. And they did a fine job at rocking Rio, until the sun came up.

Now where is the DVD of the 1080p version of this show.

I totally agree with you. People must literally have no life of their own to get so involved in one damn show and nit pick the shit out of it.  The fucking Yankees don't win every god damn game, but they're still a great team ya know. Little analogy there. People just need to calm the fuck down and relax.

But that's the thing, people on various "other" boards, actually enjoy finding flaws with everything and hating on the band. I'm just glad that the world got to see it, the web got to see it, and the thousands and thousands of people got to see GN'R close RIR 2011, in superior fashion.

GN'R are not a band, GN'R are living legends and everything they touch turns to fuckin gold......GN'R is actually the 10th wonder of the world.
