No he didn't, I'm sure jarmo found out about this, the same time as everyone else. Can't you tell how excited he was when it was announced, just like everyone else.

Don't know why you would think that to be honest, jarmo is a huge fan of the band, just like everyone else on this site.

I'm pretty sure jarmo doesn't "work" for GN'R or the Rock In Rio organisers, so I have not got a clue where you got that from, and what you mean by it. Yes, jarmo is good friends with the band, but that doesn't mean he would have already known about this before everyone else.

And just because jarmo is able to travel with the band sometimes because he is good friends with them. Does not mean in any shape or form that he works for them, he is just a huge fan like everyone else.

Update on the tickets:


The official sale of the tickets for Rock In Rio will start on May 7th.

Everyone in the world will have access to the tickets through www.rockinrio.com.br OR www.ingresso.com

Currently they are only selling pre-sale tickets for people in Brazil, who have certain credit cards issued by a Brazilian bank.

As you know, until May7th only Itau credit cards are being accepted. I hope I'm wrong!!!

I work with some of the bands that will play at rock in rio, and I'm waiting another one to confirm if they'll play on Oct. 2 or not. If they confirm, I'll do anything to be at backstage as a roadie or a slut groupie, I don't fucking care hahahahahahaha

I'm not 100% sure, but if tickets are available to people world wide, what would the point be if you need a Brazilian credit card?

I really do feel that international cards will be accepted in May, because if they are not, isn't it exactly the same situation that we have right now?, so how does that transfer in being "available worldwide" compared to now. 

Also if you think about it, if a Brazillian citizen is in Europe at the moment, they can purchase a ticket right now, if they have a brazillian card. So the phrase "available worldwide", can only really mean that they will start excepting international cards.

I think at the moment, they are giving Brazillians a sort of little pre-sale, because it's a festival which is important in Brazil, given all of the history. 

(on a lighter note, I never thought when I saw GN'R in Lille, France on October 2nd 2010. That exactly a year later, they will be playing Rock In Rio in Brazil.)

The least they could do is respond to the question (s) you  asked them on twitter, IMO
But I'm quite confident that we will be able to buy them online from Europe... otherwise saying tickets are available worldwide wouldn't make any sense.

Idem dito on the Lille gig and date, it was my favorite gig of the 3 that weekend, just because of the view I had from the balcony ... just great !
Though all 3 were great in there own special way :-)

btw congrats on the use of your picture Jarmo, I bet it gave you warm and rewarding feeling the moment you noticed it.

Absolutely pointless, I agree with you!

I emailed both ingresso.com and rockinrio.com.br several times and their replies are very ambiguous, in the best of the cases. They dont respond the exact questions you make to them.

We are a lot of people planning to do this journey. Some of us already have the airplane tickets and the accomodations. This information is absolutely vital.

I cant understand why the hell cant they just give us a precise answer to this question. If the world will NEVER be able to buy tickets with its own credit cards... tell the world now!

They are forcing people around the globe to buy tickets in resale at ridiculous ammounts, or to stop dreaming about this festival.

No one knows if it will be hard, the information thus far has been pretty vague and not given straight forward answers. For all we know - it could pop up on Ticketmaster
