I am looking into this as well, Rock In Rio draws people from all over the world, not just for Guns but other bands as well.  There has to be a way to get them...

I thought the sale opens to everyone who hasn't got a "Brazilian Card", around May?.  Undecided

I'm sure I heard that but can't be sure. I'm sure tickets will still be available when the standard sale starts, if you try to get them the minute they are available to the international community.

How can this be the, afterall I'm sure Roberto Medina knows that international fans want to come too. This is horrible, the ordering process for Rock in Lisbon, Portugal in 2006, was simple enough, I just ordered the ticket online and had it delivered to my address.  Tongue

I most probably wasn't going to make it anyway, but I was keeping my eye on the situation incase my stance changed. But this is very sad for everyone who had their hearts set on going, damn what a shame.  Cry

Why would you call someone in Brazil if they mention tickets are online for foreigners... maybe we can tweet them for an update and clear explanation on this one.
Also been thinking that we gonna have to be early, I think this day will sell out in no time...

What it seems to be saying is that you can order online but you need to purchase with a Brazilian card, and then you can deliver them anywhere in the world. That's why it says "call that friend that lives far away", it means basically you buy the ticket for them, and send it to them overseas.

This news sucks for those interested in going from outside Brazil.  Undecided

this is just inadmissible.

1) Firstly, if want a ticket, you need to REGISTER at www.ingresso.com. There you need a CPF (its one of the fields you must fill) which is an strictly brazilian thing. No other country in the world has that.

2) You need a credit card issued in brazil.

3) The people from ingresso.com replied my email and also said that there will not be any purchasing points outside Brasil... so...

How can the rest of the world get tickets? Is Rock In Rio a ''just-for-brazilians'' festival?

It would have been easier for me to buy a ticket for the Abu Dhabi show than to get a ticket for this festival!

thanks for the info Estebanf, I have a friend from Brasil who lives here in Belgium I think I will ask her if someone in her family can buy one for me over there...
though if they want to attract international audience they better put up an English version of the ingresso site IMHO.
But one thing is for sure... "we still have time" :-) peace

Update on the tickets:


The official sale of the tickets for Rock In Rio will start on May 7th.

Everyone in the world will have access to the tickets through www.rockinrio.com.br OR www.ingresso.com

Currently they are only selling pre-sale tickets for people in Brazil, who have certain credit cards issued by a Brazilian bank.

... if Ingresso.com keeps selling tickets for RIR, will they start accepting international/non-brazilian credit cards?

[Murphy's law] What I read in this "Everyone in the world will have access to the tickets" is "everyone in the world with any brazilian credit card will have access to the tickets". [/Murphy's law]

As you know, until May7th only Itau credit cards are being accepted. I hope I'm wrong!!!
