just bought my airplane tickets!! I will land in Rio very early (9:00 AM) the 29th of september, and will leave the country very late the 4th of october)

im anxious, desperate and exicted as hell!!

cant wait for May 7 for the tickets!!

As I am 100% sure I will be there no matter what, I decided to buy the tickets now because the more early you get them the cheaper they are.

I was in Rio in 2010, 15 days, but failed at seeing GNR live there (because of the storm//hurricane), but managed to travel to Belo Horizonte. So i know Rio, but never lived the experience of a GNR show there, *THE* city to see Guns live IMHO.

For those from Europe or the states planning to travel to Rio, if you think you need some help/advise, just let me know

Have you looked around for hotels as well or are you a backpacker and will find out once you are there? youth hostels etc...
Ive been monitoring the air plain tickets the past few days and like you said the sooner you get them the cheaper they are.
The best way I found so far for myself is taking the train or my car to Paris, from there I can have a direct flight...
Haven't booked yet as I'm undecided when to leave and come back, also been asking some friends to come along but no luck so far !

i will do everything I can to book a cheap hotel or a youth hostel soon. i dont think booking a place to stay once you're there is the best option. Too many people is expected in Rio at the time...

If you take a direct flight from Europe, it will land at Gale?o International Airport (GIG). Just like other international flights.

If you connect in S?o Paulo for example, you might land at Santos Dumont Airport (SDU).

I've just seen you can only buy tickets with brazilian credit cards. Here it comes my nightmare again...

I cant understand why the fuck this thing keeps happening... so, you can only get a damn ticket if you're a brazilian? Jesuschrist, we are truly fucked up... dont know how the fuck we will get these tickets.

If any brazilian knows something about this, please tell me.

Do you mean during the general sale?

They currently have a pre-sale for people with credit cards issued by a Brazilian bank. So obviously that is only for Brazilians...

One of the points of the FAQ at the RIR site says:

That's right. Ingreso.com does not accept non-brazilian credit cards.
But tickets will be available at physical stores too, so you can ask some brazilian friend to buy it for you. =) Not the best solution, but... ok

simply unbelieavable... very very sad news... again

so, did any of you realise that the ENGLISH FAQ does not cointain certain questions made in the portuguese FAQ?

For example, if you ONLY see the english faq, you will see this:

Yes. The sales are online and the delivery can be made to other states and also to other countries. Take this chance to call that friend or relative that live far away from you! (As for the Rock in Rio Card, the sale is exclusive for Brazilian residents.)

Isnt this VERY confusing, and very misleading?

Im here again asking help from brazilians... very sad...
