10. Guns & Roses - 'Use Your Illusion 1 and 2'

These are technically two different albums, but since they were released on the same side they are widely seen as a double album. Even most hardcore Guns N' Roses fans admit that it's bloated and all over the place, but the high points ("November Rain," "Civil War," "You Could Be Mine" "Don't Cry") rank among the best work the band ever did. The original group split after a long tour supporting the disc, and Axl Rose has made it quite clear that he will never again share a stage with Slash. GNR are eligible for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year, so the world will finally be able to call his bluff.

20 years in september since they were released, i just loaded them on my i pod last week great to hear Don`t Damn me and shot gun blues hadn`t heard them in a while

Love the Illusion set...Perfect Crime was the 1st song I saw GN'R play live..Steven Tyler gave a shout out o' soughts on AI the other during an inspiration speech when he told every1 "to use your illusions"..

Just saw this list actually. I await lots of Guns fans moaning about Nirvana being at #1. Wouldn't have put it at #1 of the 90s myself, but Nevermind is awesome.

As ar the Illusions, UYI I is one of my fav albums ever.

Congrats to the band. Well deserved. Frankly with these type of polls it's really just about being mentioned. Once you've got 1-10- there's very little separating them and it's all pretty subjective.

Fair description as well- aside from the Axl dig concenring HOF. Anyway, Appetite For Destruction or even Chinese Democracy are far more cohesive pieces of art start-to-finish IMHO but individual tracks on the Illusions boasts much of the band's best work- including the track many consider the band's best: "Estranged" (1A for me next to "Prostitute"). Also cool to see an album released so early in the decade (1991) withstand everything that came after- including a rather significant shift in rock music as well as the rise of hip hop and still preserve its place among the best of the best. No stopping great music...

Use your illusion 1 is my favorite album. Use your illusion 2 has my favorite GNR song and the first GNR song iv heard in my life "You could be mine", what a way to start uh? 

Obviously i will admit that Appetite is the "legendary" album, and what most defines the band, but its not my favorite one.

I remember how big they were-it was the first ever "midnight" sale that happened a lot in the 90's-a time before leaks, and so on, so when you bought the albums, you had only heard You Could be Mine and the flip side on the single was Civil War.
