He said in a recent interview that the new solo project will be with his girlfriend Ace.  He added ""I'm not even the same guy in that band, I have a different name and everything...and I wear weird hats and a lot of makeup."

I was under the impression he was talking about The Darling Stilletos with that quote.

I think he's talking about the new project.  Regarding the project, the full quote is "we're being really quiet and mysterious, ya know. I'm not even the same guy in that band, I have a different name and everything. But I'm not going to say that yet."

It does seem a little strange.  But he said in the interview in this new band he has a new name and wears weird hats and a lot of makeup.  Then he posted that "meet Baron Von Storm" with a photo of him wearing a weird hat and a lot of makeup.

It will be interesting to see what type of project this turns out to be.

Matt says in this video "I've got a new project, under wraps a little bit. What I can tell you is it's a female lead vocalist. She's got a really cool voice. What we're trying to do with this new project is bring in a lot of elements -- some tricky vocal sounds. And when I saw this pedal it just blew my mind."
