I don't have a list, but Inception was by far the best movie of 2010.

The only one I completely disagree with is Shutter Island.  It sucked.  The book was FAR better, and the movie more or less gave the whole thing away in the first 2 scenes...provided you were paying attention.  I'd take that one out, completely, and replace it with "Toy Story 3"...which was REALLY good.

Otherwise, the above is a SOLID list.

inception is a movie that makes dumb people feel intelligent
has a plot about no one in a conflict with no one over nothing in a place that isn't real
very bad movie with plot problems, dense but easy to understand making everybody shitting their pants about a lot of cliches

in the other hand black swan was amazing
the social network is a very good movie, amazing production and acting, but i personally found it very slow

1. Expendables
2. True Grit
3. Machete
4. Predators
5. Inception
6. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World
7. The Last Exorcism
8 .Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1
9 .The Wolfman
10. The Losers

Random.

Given your list, Machete is cooler than Expendables imo. Expendables was so cliche.

Predators and Expendables go together quite well; these films are designed for the young alpha male who leave school early to do brickwork, car work or child-making. The Wolfman is a tangential choice though, it is an acceptable Hammer copy of other films that came out yesteryear but it was enjoyable. Scott Pilgrim is legendary in it's field. True Grit is tangential in an expanding 3D bubble kind of way, it is well made, ok to watch, popcorn for the Oscars, but not a deserving winner. The recent Harry Potter film is the best one to date. but there is still too much Grange Hill type acting for me. Inception works well, but it is not the Rubik's Cube it is billed to be. The Last Exorcism is fine, deserves to be in your list where it is. The Losers I have not seen, as yet.

A good list though. It provokes comment.

Inception was my favorite

I also saw some other great ones but i don't know if they came out in 2010 -

South of the Border was a great doc about US influence over south american regimes and the bad stuff that has gone on!
Burma VJ - shocking documentary about the continued oppression in Burma
Food Inc - amazing food documentary - one of my friends became vegetarian after this!

i havent seen True Grit or Black Swam because they arent out in Mexico still, but i have to say that for my surprise i have to pick Tron Legacy as the best picture of the year. its a very underrated movie, that people just judge like a special effects movie. but deals with cool themes, cool concept and great music in a really fun to watch movie.

It's both. In the UK, we didn't get it until last January, but I think everywhere else had it the previous November.
