Jarmo rocks! Merry Christmas to him and all the fans on this site! Jarmo is the original pioneer and architect of the new era of Gnr on the Web! I remember being a young teenager clinging to the hopes of a new Gnr album (the era around 94 - 96), and just clinging to any news I would hear from radio, Rolling Stone, Metal Edge magazine, etc. At that time (pre-mass available Internet) rock fans just had to wait around for rock news or wait for rumors from the local dj. 94 - 96/97 was a time of great anticipation and anxiety. Nobody really knew what was up with the band or Axl. It was before the Internet explosion and mass access to the Internet. My senior year of high school we finally got Internet access and I immediately looked up "Guns N Roses Axl Rose" in the Google search engine (when I was supposed to be doing research on William Faulkner). The first thing that popped up was Jarmo's site, and I have followed it loyally ever since. I will never forget that moment when I saw his site. I was so overwhelmed that access to Gnr news was now at my finger tips instead of waiting around for the monthly edition of Metal Edge or Rolling Stone. My appetite for updated news could now be satiated. I no longer had to "wait" for news; it was awesome! The Internet didn't really start getting mainstream until about 1996/1997ish, so Jarmo was always on the cutting edge of Web news and new Gnr. HTGTH was my first choice for news and accurate information about the elusive and mysterious world of Axl and Gnr.
All the landmark moments and historical announcements I learned from Jarmo and this site.

Jarmo, it was great finally meeting you this year in Hamilton after years of back and forth banter.

You've achieved the ultimate GnR fans dream (save for being in the band itself....lol)

We've all been coming here for years because of the great site you've made available for us. Many of us have connected on a personal level with each other, and garners many a lifetime friendship.

Had it not been for you, we would have all been separated by thousands of assholes that didn't share the same feelings as we do about this band.

Who knows, if it wasn't for sites like this, maybe Axl woulda said fuck it, and the album, tours etc would have never seen the light of day.

So from a devout atheist, you are one of the few people I have no problem saying Merry Christmas to. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for a great year, a fun ride, and the continuing friendship we all share.

Much love from Canada to our favorite internet pseudo-celebrity. Keep on that train, and we'll catch ya state side next year, Axl willing.
