I haven't updated this section in years. Tada.

Alright.....Figured I would update with what I decided to play.

And yeah, the next album that comes out, my next son will be chewing on it....lol...I don't care if he'll be 12......he's grounded if he doesn't.

Anyway, since my newborn Michael was named after my cousin who passed away at 32 after a heart attack (unnoticed heart defect), I decided on "You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory" from Spaghetti. I know, it's a cover, but it just seemed to fit.

HOWEVER.

After that was done I decided to go with what BBF said, and picked Don't Cry.

BUT!!! I didn't pick one of the Illusions versions.

I decided on the version from the supershow in Tokyo this year.  That way, my son could hear the brilliant guitar player who was kind enough to reply to my message, and I would be able to sing it to him myself.

Not to worry though. Jarmo was also kind enough to reply, so I honored him in a way as well.

After I was done singing, I asked him if he liked Daddy's song. So when he started crying, I deleted his comment and banned him from Daddy's lap for the next 15 minutes...... rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl

All jokes aside, thanks to everyone for endulging me on this, and all the congrats I've gotten, from the GnR world.  And to anyone thinking of doing what I did in the future, take my advice. Don't just go for the song you think sounds the coolest. Go for the one that has the biggest threat of bringing a tear to your eye. Axl and company have written some of the greatest music this planet has ever, and will ever know. Trust me, you'll find the right one.

The last time I edited my signature, I still had ICQ.  That's crazy.

Congrats man, but if you decide to have a third child, whatever you do, dont play Silkworms when he first enters the home,
the lyrics aren't very fitting towards the image of child birth anyway , right?

Nice to know it went well LordRazZ.  ok

Hearing a story like yours makes me all warm inside. It makes me think about how we GN'R fans are all connected through the music of Guns N' Roses. And it also makes you realise just how much the music has inspired each and every one of us and changed our life.

I wish you nothing but the best with your children dude, thank you for bringing abit of warmth to the forum.  Wink
