o2 Email:

Please note: You may be aware that Guns N' Roses shows this year have finished later than scheduled. To minimise the impact of this The O2 have worked closely with TfL to provide additional transport services should the show over run after the last Jubilee Line service at 00:16 into Central London. The last eastbound Jubilee Line service (Stratford) is at 01:04. Please read our transport information to help with your journey home.

I didn't get this email - was it sent direct from the o2 or ticket sellers?

Hi

Can anyone access this from the O2 email?

http://10.18.5.12/images/PDF/misc/guns-n-roses-transport-guide-20101013-14.pdf

I cant seem to. Could someone paste the contents here?

Thanks

I've been unable to open this link too.  However, if anyone needs to get back to Waterloo after the show, you can book a seat on the Thames Clippers catamaran (?6 one-way ticket).  It departs from the QEII pier outside the O2 and goes direct to Waterloo Pier.  The first one leaves 15 mins after the show finishes but you must book in advance.

If you're looking for somewhere to hang around until the tubes start running, Bar Italia in Frith Street, Soho is open 24 hours for coffee and paninis etc.

Should be less wallet trauma than drinking in the O2!

I guess that's the best place.

But I get the sense that not many people turn up at Pre Shows anymore. Me and Derby Greg, went to the one in Dublin, and there was literally 2 fans in there with shirts.

I will try to make it, but I think I will be wondering around the city as well for a bit.  Smiley

Thanks alot for this! Am at a bit of a loss as to what to do. Even if the tubes are still running by the time the show finishes, my last train home would be long gone so I should really work on a plan as to what to do. Anyone else got any tips?

I copied the GNR part onto a generic O2 URL which seemed to give a working URL for the transport info:

On further investigation, the Clipper service is only until 00:40 so if the show finishes after this time, it wont be running. Just paid too.....

For those stuck in East London, if its a good night (we seem to be having good weather at the moment) then a walk back into central London, along the river will probably be quite nice.

That's ok yes, but don't take it as fact.

I paid ?25 from St Pancras to Victoria (which is much closer than the 02), when the tube was down the other weekend, after I came back from Lille. So you have to factor in traffic, and other stuff.

I am planning on getting the district line to Westminster from Victoria, then getting the Jubilee line to North Greenwich. And obviously you can reverse it for returning from the 02.

BUT just incase anything goes wrong with that first plan, I am bringing enough money for the taxi in the event it charges 30 or 40 pound for the trrip from Victoria to the 02.

You?re right this is only an indication f?r the real price for a taxi.

But  I guess you can?t catch any tube to return from O2 after the show.

If its after midnight, which it probably will be, it could end up costing you quite a bit more. I live 10 min from the O2 and in the past a Cab journey has ended up costing ?20 to ?30.

Whenever I use a cab to get home from a night out in central London it costs around ?50 to ?60 after midnight. Admittedly this is using a prepay cab account but I imagine it costs about the same for a standard fare.

Galileo, I'm not having a go at you mate. Just giving people a bit of advice, as to what you can expect travelwise in London especially taxi drivers.

I think I have a vendetta against taxi drivers. hihi

I asked the taxi driver how much the journey would be from Pancras to Victoria, he said about 20 pounds. And as soon as I was inside the taxi with the doors locked, he informed me that it might be around 25 to 30 pounds now. I hate when that happens, and believe me they can alter the metre with just a touch, they know what they're doing.  Roll Eyes

It's ok, I understand it.

I did not know about the enormous problems with taxi drivers in London.
