nah, Nikki_Sixx was talking about the recent show. I just noted that DJ seems to like the pyros, and he already was too near in Prague, and now again in France

Sorry guys, just got up.

Towards the end of the show, Ashba crashed to the ground taking the pyro stuff with him.  It happened at the left end of the little runway at the side of the stage (my left).  He fell off backwards, it took a couple of security guys to get him back.  He was gone for maybe a minute, then they got him back on stage and he was up and running again.  Seemed a bit shook up though  Grin  checking his arms for damage ...

Never managed to find an internet cafe' when I was in Lille, so I am back now in Birmingham (UK).

The show was amazing, and I got front left barrier, my first front row since Las Vegas 2006. Frank and Del came out to watch the opening band which I thought was nice, and del took a pic I believe.

Then as the lights went down, the security staff was really on edge and getting ready all panicky. It was really strange, hard to explain, they was all on their knees anticipating something happening. Then all hell broke loose when CD started, then the quick punch of WTTJ, ISE and Brownstone.

I was on the left front barrier and DJ kept on coming down all the time, he really is a great showman. I could not believe how close I got to Axl, and also got eye contact with him for a short while, that made my trip.

I also have to give a shout out to DJ because he tripped up some stage equipment (which really should not have been there), and he fell backwards off the stage, landing really hard. I felt so, uneasy because I didn't know what to do, I was helpless, but luckily enough he was ok and start running around like nothing happened.

DJ, if you read this I was the young guy right in front of you on the left of the stage (your right). And everyone around me gasped when you fell, it really was a bad moment in the show for me, I thought you might of been hurt. Another point in the show Tommy got passed someones hat and he posed for the person and let them take a pic, while he was playing the bass. Tommy looks much more confortable walking around the stage, he seems so relaxed and up for a laugh.

I won't go on forever, but it was another brilliant show from GN'R. I met Cyllan again in the hotel beforehand, it was so nice seeing familiar faces. I will do this all again, as I'm heading to lisbon on the 5th, to see the GN'R show on the 6th.

I love this band so much, thank you GN'R for being so cool and wicked last night. You are a delight to watch, and DJ you showed amazing showmanship to get back up and carry on rocking after your fall, well done.  ok

Here are some of my photos from the Lille show.  Smiley

If you look at the left of the photos, especially the DJ ones. You will see the piece of equipment that DJ fell over. My personal opinion is that it should not have been there, never saw anything like that at any other show.

There is so much happening on and of stage at the same time that I didn't see Dj fall, I noticed Ron on the floor for a while though.

I'm glad I went to the Lille gig as well, already figuring out what show I'm able to go and see of this tour

Jarmo, good to see you again there in action on the balcony, didn't wanna bother you after I gave you a thumbs up though... great pic's (nice camera)

Cheers

It wasn't at the end of the show, more like 3/4s the way through. In fact it was before Bumblefoot lay down on the ground for a while.

After the song finished in which Ashba fell, he went over to Axl, and it looked like Ashba was explaining to him what had just happened.

It was a strange, because at the Paris 2006 show, Robin actually fell over near the end of the show, and the staff had to help him to his feet.

Robin pulled his hamstring at that show.
