I just got back from the show, tired to death, can't feel my damn legs. what I witnessed today was... well, definitely not what I expected. it was a terrible mess, and fight that finally prevailed, and the band won the day!
Danko Jones started around 20, the first song was cool, but all the others seemed the same so it was boring after 5 of them. Danko is a madman, but things like shouting, asking questions or clapping hands just doesn't work on typical czech audience. Danko finished around 21:15. around 21:00 I saw Frank by the side of the stage watching Danko, so I thought the band is already there and everything will go smoothly. I couldn't be more naive!
after 90 minutes of waiting, the promoter told us to calm down, that everything is gonna be ok, and that Axl is on the way. the show was supposed to start in an hour, so maybe half of the audience went away for some beer, toilets etc. however, intro started unexpected around 23:15, and Guns went on.
immediately, I noticed the sound is strange (it already was at Danko), too overboosted and slightly out of tune. technical difficulties were heavy, and the band was fighting with them. to me, the guitars were sometimes just a wall of sound, without noticing the tunes, but meh, it worked somehow. before SoD, Dizzy played his solo, and after that he started SoD, Richard sat down to Dizzy, and the piano went mad, Axl stopped the song and they removed the piano to fix it, and played YCBM instead.
to be honest, the guys looked pretty pale and tired, I bet they partied like hell! booze is too cheap in this country
the highlight of the show for me was Richard. since he joined the band, I considered him rhytm guitarist with occasional solos. well, he proved me wrong. tonight, he was like possessed. he was everywhere and played like crazy! now, from my point of view, GNR have 3 lead guitarists, period.
the sound got a little better later in the show, and surprisingly very late after midnight, the arena was still packed, virtually nobody left! by 2:00 after midnight the show was over, and everybody was still there! that was it - the band won over the tech difficulties (and possibly heavy hangover, in the final bow Ron looked tired to death).
maybe I'll be able to write more after I get some sleep.

some things from top of my head before i collapse in bed:

- Axl was mean in IRS and Shacklers. He sounded like the Devil himself. 

- It really wasn't looking good at 22:45 when they announced the 1 more hour delay, more than half the people left the show area, but you should have seen it when the lights went off at 23:15. Ive never seen so many people sprinting back to their seats and to the floor.  Pretty much everyone came back and stayed till the end.

I really like IRS live, just an awesome mean & powerful song ...

Guess the bar has been very busy during the delay

Always liked Richards playing, really talented guy as they all are... the band is just top notch ! Hopefully the mainstream world will start to realize that soon ...

Delaying of the show was mistake of organizators. well in Belgrade and Zagreb we had 2 opening acts, and in media we got information from the organizators ''guns n roses won't start before 11',so there will be 2 opening acts in 21 nightsift and on 22 danko jones''.So we could planed our time. I don't get it why do you blame Axl for delaying when whole world knowing ''Axl will take stage not before 11''.And again it's organizators fault.

wow, it's been too long since I've woken up in the afternoon just a little more observations:
Chris Pitman was regularly standing between Frank and Dizzy playing tambourine, he was dancing there like Tracy or whatever were those bitches during late UYI tour, crazy thing!
DJ was helping Frank drumming during one of the late songs, stealing his drumstick, playing with it, and finally throwing it into the audience. during PC, I think, he was playing the solo using his shirt! also after PC, the confettis were everywhere, Axl threw the mike into the audience. later I met the girl who caught it leaving the arena lucky one.
during the first attempt of SoD, Axl said (trying to remember it exactly) "WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT? every single instrument is out of tune here, bring that piece of shit out".
after PC, Axl excused for the late start.

btw, during Ron solo, somebody threw in a sign "happy belated birthday, Ron!" which he grabbed and thanked the audience. there was also some funny stuff, like Axl grabbing a red bra with GNR sign attached to it, or DJ playing with white panties on his guitar, while Axl was trying to remove it
