Axl`s physical appearance is changing. I am quite convinced that he is losing weight and his fitness is improving.
I`ve been noticing these changes happening a few weeks now, and they are getting more and more obvious.

He already looks and moves easily well younger than his calendar years.

I honestly think they started listening to the fans and ignoring the media.

Doubt Axl ever paid much attention to the media. I think that the increase in Axl's performance and "look in his eyes" can be traced back to the people surrounding him. He has a fit cast of able musicians which makes his job easier. It's like being the manager of a retail store and having a crappy staff. Good supporting cast means more time for Axl to focus on AXL. All in all, Guns is got the ball ROLLING right now! beer

nah, check MSG 2002 , Axl pays attention to bullshit media write, but i think now instead of letting that spoil his fun and tour, he is starting to listen to the fans and what they think and is starting to be able to block out the negativity and not let it bother him.

Yeah your right with this dude.  There's a big difference between hearing what they say and listening to what they say.... The former is fleeting (water off a ducks back type stuff) whereas the latter is more absorbing and considered and will generally get a response.

Axl appears to have adopted a hear the media attitude and a only listen to those that he lets into his space policy - under the circumstances probably a wise move.  Its certainly a method of therapy to control anger, not sweating the small stuff that the media seem intent in writing...

GN'R have more sell-outs in 2010 then they did from 2001-2007?

Well, to most media he could save  school bus full of children and they'd find something negative to say about it. so i think now he doesn't let them get under his skin as much, realizes the crowds/fans love him and the band and now he just lets that type of bullshit roll off his back instead of getting upset about it.

I'd like if Axl could do a no-bullshit interview, just focussed on the music and band members. If he could find a trusted interviewer I'm sure it would have a positive effect. I wander if there's a follow up album whether he will take a different approach to the promotion.
