It might not be worth anything but it shows what the vma's been missing since you know when!

MTV's Video Music Awards killed it this year!

The show raked in 11.4 million total viewers, giving it the best ratings for any MTV telecast since the 2002 VMAs.

And it was the fifth highest rated telecast in the network?s history!

Seems Chelsea couldn't even ruin it!

I'm surprised too. There was really nothing notable about the show.

I could be completely off, but the new episode of The Jersey Shore as a lead in might have helped get some viewers.  Like it or not, that show is pretty big and viewers could've rolled over to see THEM on the White Carpet, during the show and such.  That's about all I can think of, because I watched some of the VMA's and it was just painfully terrible all around.

Jersey Shore was good as always though.  Come on, you know you love it!

Incidently, some band with some weird dude wearing a chicken bucket on his head played that night in 2002...

I've not seen the VMA's since Jimmy Fallon asked us to put the tape into the VCR.....I've never been so offended at such an indecent sexual innuendo on national TV....I've been fucking the sex box ever since
