Thank you. They sound nice. I like Myles's version of SCOM, except I wish he would stick to the original lyrics.

Thank you. They sound nice. I like Myles's version of SCOM, except I wish he would stick to the original lyrics.

That was done in one take apparently as both tracks were apparently recorded live from a UK radio station XFM on may 27th from what I have seen posted elsewhere.

I think he just flubbed the lyrics as he has done sometimes. I am sure if it were a proper track they would have had him re-record the vocals correctly. Slash missed some notes to, but it was a one shot deal so not much you can do.

Myles was playing rhythm guitar also for both songs. I wonder whose idea it was for the 2 of them to record those as they worked well together.

I must say though, outside of Axl (and maybe Tyler), Myles has the best rock voice and range. You can hear the vocals clearly on these recordings and the guy's voice, especially in the high parts is fantastic.

Myles is the perfect example right now of art imitating real life.

His favorite album of all time is Appetite from what he has said in the past, and now he just recorded SCOM with Slash and gets to play Guns classics with him on the road.

I'm not sure if you've ever seen the movie "Rockstar" with Mark Whalberg or not, but watch this clip and see if you can identify who the guy he picks out of the crowd to take over the "Steel Dragon" gig at the end of the movie.

That was 10 years ago, and is kind of crazy when you think about where he's at with Slash right now.

Fate smiled kindly on Slash with the whole Myles thing, as he said Starlight was the last track that still had no vocals, and I even think I have heard him say he had someone different in mind first. If he doesn't send him that, he doesn't meet Myles, and never ends up touring with him.

I hate to say it, but Myles is about the only thing in alot of ways that separates the Slash tour from an Adler's Appetite kind of show where the music is good but the vocals just kind of brings things down a notch.

He's certainly not Axl Rose, but he is about the only guy I have heard sing GNR songs (the harder ones) at a level where I am not cringing thinking this probably wasn't a good idea. It usually sounds like bad karaoke when people try and sing GNR stuff, so Slash is lucky to have found someone who can at least do a respectable job with them. I know if I were a singer I am not sure I would be lining up to sing those songs along side Slash knowing I am being compared on a nightly basis to one of the handful of best, most distinctive rock  vocalists of all time.
