Except Motley Crue have balls in their music and cannot be compared.

Except Cinderella actually can play their instruments and made alot of great blues rock.

Poison and Warrant can be put in the same category as cheese pop metal though.

Motley Crue has balls? Yea I guess.... its just these bands have nothing NOTHING going on artistically speaking. I would never... never fucking ever say that these bands are artists. "Artists" is a word that is way to overused. Just because you are in a band and have a following doesn't mean you are an artist. Its like the word Pornstar. Its like any bitch who fucks is a pornstar these days.

Axl fucking Rose is an actual artist and he proves that time and time again.

I have never liked Motley or any other band mentioned in the quoted post. GN'R have always been more than a typical rock band, you can't even compare Axl with Vince, Axl is in a different galaxy artistic wise.

What I love about GN'R is that they came from Hollywood just like Poison, Motley and many other bands. But GN'R has evolved, and turned into something very unique. Much different from the usual Rock from bands like AC-DC, Bon Jovi and Poison.

Chinese Democracy is a testament to Axls' vision and will be discovered by thousands of more people in the future. Axl and GN'R were already legendary before CDs' release. But Axl has secured his place in Rock history now, after releasing this masterpiece.

I've liked the Crue since they first came out. I was in high school then, and they fuckin rocked. I was also into Quiet Riot and Ratt then, too. Cruisin' around in my $400 car, smoking weed, and rocking out. And i can still listen to all of them and have a good time. But those bands, along with countless others were just that - "nuthin' but a good time" (to quote one of those bands) And there's nothing wrong with that, but you tend to not really expect much artistically from some bands. But i remember the first time i heard GnR, and right from the fuckin getgo you knew there was something special about this band.  For me, at the time, "Rocket Queen" was the song that really made me expect A LOT from this band. And they have never disappointed me as the sound has grown. A lot of people would love it if CD would've sounded exactly like Appetite, but I would have been very disappointed with that. I love how the sound has grown, and i love how my favorite band since i first listened to them has evolved and has become this incredible vision with new members contributing different amazing music and i look forward to what the future brings. As far as CD being underrated, i think a lot of people have such a negative attitude of Axl that they don't give it a chance. A guy at work just this week told me how much the album sucks, and when i asked him what sucked so bad about it he told me he's never even listened to it because he knows it would suck. Had just one song taken off and been a huge hit, all of a sudden a lot of people would suddenly LOVE the cd and claim they've loved it from the start. I agree with a previous post that if the band continues to create incredible music, then people will look back on CD and appreciate it for the masterpiece that it is.

you see this is why i rant when people put crue and cinderella, in the same area as poison and warrant.

Part of the same scene? sure, just like GNR were.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uuegke22rdA i dont see how Cinderella cannot be considered artists when they put out songs like this etc.  Cinderella did progress, their first album was very Aerosmith just with that 80s "pop metal" production, but the second album, and then the third album etc evolve more and more towards Rolling Stones inspired blues. Unfortunately for them they got fucked over by their record label, stopping them from being able to put out anymore music under the Cinderella moniker.

Where as Poison made the same generic stuff over and over except they lost more and more energy in their songs per album release.

Motley Crue, yknow, not the most amazing musicians. But there music flat out rocks, and they (did) put on a great live show much like Alice Cooper before them.

I understand the "GNR are different" argument totally, because they are and you are right, they Axl does write better music. The style of GNR now is very different, plus alot of those bands dont release music anymore with the exception of Crue who flatout suck ass now. My issue is, Motley Crue and Cinderella are unfairly associated with stuff like Warrant simply because of the whole LA glam image thing.

I have no interest in reading about what you think of other bands in the GN'R section

So please take that discussion to another section.
