Guns n Roses to play Australia in December

Well this will be my first GN'R concert EVER and I will be flying from Brisbane to Sydney just to see them , so I am a tad excited and hyper right now  .

Congratulations to all of us Aussie fans . See you all there! .

Made the epic journey in '93 to Eastern Creek (on the bus) and still rave about it!
Left Friday Night, 14hr bus trip, got off, ran to the front of the stage, stayed all day, ran back to bus at close to midnight, 14hr bus ride back, and then home, and worth every second!

That would have been a stinky bus trip home! 

Oh yeah but we were all feral!
Didn't take a leak from the early hours of Saturday morning till I hit the bus station on Sunday - longest I've ever done! We literally just made it back to the bus in time and just didn't squeeze a pee in!

Haha big group mate... My Sister and her friend love the Gunners so they wanted in. I asked my friend if he wanted to go (lives in sydney)  he goes " im not the biggest race car or Gunner fan but ill think about it"
So i go to him "Welcome to the jungle, sweet child o'mine, live and let die, knockin on heavens door, you could be mine, November Rain, Paradise city".. He's like " Im in" haha... People dont realise that they do know a shit load of the popular gn'r songs without even thinking about them.. Now to get him onto Chinese Democracy!!

From all accounts, no.

Hope this changes but would not bet on it.

I'd imagine the contract indicates the money paid is to attract interstate fans.

Buy tickets, you know it worth it.

Made some enquiries and from all accounts the set up for the concert is not the same as last year.
The oval will be available to all ticket holders and there may be a barrier for a hot zone (like last year) or the oval may be split into front and back sections like they do for most GA concerts there but this hasn't been finalised as yet.
The corporate ticket holders will be the only ones who have their own section and that is on level 4.

Guns N' Roses touring Australia in December 2010

The US rock band have announced they will be returning to Australia for the first time since 2007 to help celebrate the return of the Sydney motor race.The event will be held at ANZ Stadium on Saturday, December 4. The Hollywood rockers have not ruled out gigs in other cities, but the Telstra 500 will be their only Sydney date, organisers have confirmed. The band?s arrival will follow an extensive tour of Europe as patient audiences finally get to hear live cuts from Chinese Democracy.

The album famously took nine years to make before it was finally released by Rose in 2008. The singer is the only remaining original member of Guns N? Roses, which has sold more than 100 million records worldwide since forming in 1985. Joining Guns N? Roses at the Sydney race will be skateboard legend Tony Hawk, who will give daily shows over the weekend.

The motor race is expected to attract up to 200,000 fans following its successful inaugural outing last year.

Tickets go on sale from Monday, July 19

CONCERT TICKETING INFORMATION

The Stadium arena, level 1 and level 2 will be available in a general admission capacity to all 3 day GA, Saturday GA and Grandstand Ticket Holders. Level 6 will be opened if the arena, level 1 and 2 are full.

Level 4 is available only to corporate ticket holders.

There is no reserved seating.

Entry to the concert is included with all grandstand tickets, 3-day GA tickets & Saturday GA tickets;

ANZ Stadium does have a limited capacity. Tickets to the concert may sell out;

A Friday GA ticket or Sunday GA ticket does not provide access to the concert;

There is no reserved seating for the concert - entry allows access to the arena, or unreserved seats in the lower seating bowl;

Opening times for ANZ stadium will be available closer to the event;

There is no hot zone at the concert;

The concert will commence immediately following the conclusion of racing. Guns and Roses will be on stage later in the evening - time tbc;
