I love lisbon, as I'm going to Lille for the show at the Zenith, I guess I'm going to have to book travel to Lisbon really close to the day. Head back into London after France, and have maybe 1 full day before catching the plane to Lisbon. So I may stay about 1 or 2 days after the show to sight see abit.

Im also gonna buy my ticket today, flights to Portugal are really cheap, even though i live here already. Book with Expedia

Just a heads up for any other international people who are buying tickets for this show. If you go to blueticket, delivery to outside of Portugal is 30 Euros, and if you go through Ticketline.pt, it's only around 5 Euros.

I have no idea why that is, just thought everyone should know who are not from Portugal.

I live in lisbon, and in the next day that i bought my tickets for Madrid show, they anounce the Lisbon gig!

Now i'll seem them oct 6 in Lisbon, and oct 9 in Madrid.

Have you guys seen the promo video on tv for this show? The video has images of the old band playing in Japan....

I dont understand why they promote it as the new band in other countries and as the old band in Portugal.

2 guessings - 1. Either the promoters wanna try to make more money and sell more tickets advertising it this way or...
                      2. The band or management didnt send the video, or made any video for promotion to the show in Portugal!

Anyways i bought a ticket to the floor but my gf changed her mind and wants to go see it with me (shes not very supportive of this new band and she didnt like Chinese Democracy the album,  but i convinced her to go), the thing is, going with my gf, i dont wanna go to the floor.

Reason = Not wanting to be unfair, but iv been in various shows here in Portugal, and the portuguese fans will  do a moch pit for like every song even if its patience  , and going alone its one thing, going with my gf is another, i dont think it would be fun.

So if anyone is interesting to trade a floor ticket for a seating one, i would appreciate it and trade, floor tickets cost 35 euros, if the seating ones cost more ill pay the difference, if they cost less, i wont charge the difference.

Anyone interested?

Meanbone I stood on the stairs with my husband on the side of the stage in Lisbon at the Hard Rock in 06.  I remember you and I remember your girlfriend was really enjoying your performance and the GNR music you were playing, I just remember what a good time she was having dancing and singing, she was a great supporter indeed, anyway just thought I would mention it as your comment about a non supportive girlfriend brought back a few good memories, I had so much fun that night and your band was excellent.

epa ao menos ela adora a banda antiga, ja e alguma coisa boa (at least she likes the old band, which is already something great).

She likes the Dont Cry, Estranged, November Rain, Sweet Child o' Mine kind of songs... and that 80s feel that the band had, and quite frankly that 80s feel that the band hand was the best thing about GNR, the rawness of the songs and that groovy drumming, guitar mixture and Axl's raw vocals mixed all together.

I love the new band though and i love the direction they went, they couldnt be making that kind of music forever and i think Axl did a right choice on the direction, i dont care if its with the old or new members, sure i would prefer the old members, but this band is great as well, they bring something different and unique to the table, i do miss Buckethead though, i think he was amazing, and the band was so weird when he was there, that i think it brought more credibility to the different sound and to the different direction Axl was taking in, it brought something weird and misterious to the band which i liked it. That RIR 3 show was the most awesome show since old gnr to me, but i gotta say Osaka 2009 was quite awesome too, but honestly i cant get enough on how Buckethead's work in the songs was amazing, his solos were just phenomenal.
Ashba is different, he brings the old back to the new, he brings that traditional rock n roll, and he's a very cool guy, very talented, and i cant wait to see something from him too, and of course Fortus is my favorite guitar player in the band, he's got a lot of talent. Bumblefoot, oh well, what can i say, the guy plays everything and he's a fan favorite! He's a really nice guy as well!
Back in topic, i cant wait for the show!
