I was having a look at the clips from the performance coming in, I thought Axl sang "Sweet Child O' Mine" particularly good tonight.

Quite a lot )) Can't tell exact numbers, sorry
The bad thing was that there were a lot of seats and not much of a fan zone.

BTW Axl didn't talk much. Is he always like that on this tour? ))

Wow, how 'bout that for a strong fucking performance?!?  Sweet Child was just awesome!!!  I'd venture to say it was one of the strongest performances since the UYI tours.  Check it, check it, check it out... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OmKdrDWWwbI&feature=channel

Man, in my opinion the band is just amazingly tight and to say the voice is on point is an understatement.

Sounds like the Moscow show was a success.

Weird this is coming up, as a friend and I were just discussing Billy Joel and I kept thinking of Joel's shows in Russia in 1987.  He was one of the first American rock bands to play there after the Berlin Wall went up.  The concerts were highly publicized and anticipated.  I remember hearing some of it live on the radio as it happened with some commentary by the local New York djs.  And then I remember reading the articles/reviews from the shows and later buying the live album from these shows and the live concert video.
It was amazing to see members of the communist party in the front row and how some fans were being removed for showing too much emotion!  There are some classic shots though of some fans finally letting go, with no care about being "outed", and seeing the enjoyment on their faces and in their actions is priceless.

I bring this up because I kept thinking of this when G N' R were playing their shows in Russia. That country and the world has come very far since then, not just with certain art being allowed in certain countries, but how people are now permitted to express their enjoyment in public.  It was really cool to see G N' R playing there.  And happy for all who got to see them, especially the older fans (which I am sure there were many of at the show) who were finally able to see Axl, hear this music live, and express their enjoyment at these shows.

Yes it does.  Smiley

He played there AFTER the wall was built, but BEFORE it came down again. Not many western artists did that.

Hello, I'm new on this, I joined after seeing Guns N' Roses concert in Moscow. I love old songs, now I have new songs and love this new band. Everyone in the band has identity, they have fun and high energy and played well. Best concert of my life. Only real complaint is many become physically uncomfortable waiting for show to start. I read other review of shows, I think I see different show than some people writing see. One here said Bumblefoot is invisible, I think this person has propaganda agenda. I think he has strong gay feeling for Buckethead. His review is not realistic or truthful because he is obviously bitter. Truth is everyone in the band won our respects. In Moscow the audience and media make good reports, better than ones on some forums. I hope this band comes back to Moscow again, I'll be there every time they play here.
